It hurts, you know? To sit there and smile pretending everything's alright when it's not. To have everyone break down around you but still have to stand tall. To bottle everything in and be broken when no one cares. To tell everyone it's okay and lift them off the ground when you know everything's not okay and that when you fall no one will pick you back up. To watch out for everyone else and not even realize that in the process you're falling apart. Told you're a hero when you know a hero is so much stronger. Told you're strong when you wish you could just fall apart. Told you're fearless when you're scared to fall asleep at night. You listen to your family fight about you but still walk out the door with a smile. To laugh with your friends and pretend you're someone else but you're not. You pretend you're a demon to hide that you're an angel. To die on the inside and scream at night but no one hears. But a fallen angel is never and was never a demon, and an internal scream will never be heard when it's a smile on the outside.
