"Adeline!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. "You better hurry up, you don't want to be late for school!" She said.
I stumbled around my room, looking for my glasses. Finally, I found them. I quickly put them on, and fix my curly brown hair. I run into the kitchen to grab my back pack, and swing the front door open. The crisp autumn air hit me. I shiver a little, scolding myself for not wearing a warmer coat. I start walking to school.
The walk was fairly short, because the whole time I just thought about all the school work I have ahead of me today.
I sighed to myself, as I open the doors to the school. As I walk though the doors, I hear all the kids chatting, and gossiping. I put my hair in front of my face, putting my head down. I walk down the halls, invisible. When I reach my locker, I quickly get it open, and grab all the text books I will need for the day.
As I start heading towards my class with my head down. I run into someone, and all my books go all over the floor. Great, just great. Just when I was trying to be invisible, I make a scene. I sigh, as I start picking up my books.
"Watch where you're going, nerd." The voice said, spitting out the last word, like it was poisin. I looked up, as my eyes widened.
Crap. I just ran into Tyler James, the 'bad boy' of the school.
"S-Sorry." I said, softly. I picked up all my books, and hurried off to class. I was early, as always.
The bell rang, and all the students all hurried to their seats. The teacher started to write notes on the board.
I didn't really pay attention in class today, which is rare for me. I just keep dozing off. Dang, I knew I shouldn't have stayed up late last night reading. Oh well, it was worth it.
The rest of the day went by in a blur, and before I knew it it was the end of the day. I quickly shoved my books in my locker, and hurried home.
When I got home I threw my glasses off, and ran to the bathroom. I found my contacts and put them in. I put my hair in a side braid, as I picked out an outfit. I went with some leggings, a nice green shirt, and a hoodie. I pulled on my boots over my leggings and I raced out the door. I made sure I had my phone. Lucky for me, it was a Friday night, so my mom didn't mind if I stayed out with friends.
I finally reached the small cafe, and I rushed in. I made my way to the back, and checked in. I put on my apron, and my notepad and paper. I went in the back to see if Conner was there. "Conner! You here?" I asked, stepping into the small kitchen of the cafe.
"Yeah, over here Ade!" I heard Conner say, and I walked over to the sound of his voice. I found him struggling to get jar of grape jelly open. I laughed, as I saw him.
I calmed my laughter, "Need some help?" I asked him, holding my hand out for the jar.
He sighed in defeat. "Yes." He said, as he handed over the jar.
I opened it without a problem. I handed it back to him, smirking. "Whimp." I muttered as I walked away.
"Ade, thank god your here! I need some help, could you get table 3?" My co-worker/best friend Sabrina said.
I smiled, "Sure, no problem." I said, getting my notepad out.
"Thanks! Your a lifesaver!" She said, smiling.
"Yeah, yeah." I said, as I walked over to the table.
"Hello, what can I get for you today?" I asked politely, looking at the notepad, ready to take their orders.
"I'll have a hot chocolate, and a slice of blueberry pie." The voice said, and I looked up. My eyes widened slightly, as I saw our was talking. Tyler. Tyler James.
