Tests/Quizzes
In this class, we have quizzes and tests like every other week. We have vocabulary words or either lessons that we went over on these test and quizzes. When we do our quizzes, we normally listen to the question and write the answer down on paper. But the tests seem much better. Most of the time, we have the words in a list and we just put the words in the blanks as we go. But another thing I like about this class is that if you fail a test you get another chance to take it over when YOU feel like you're ready for it. But most of all, the teacher isn't hard on us, but she still doesn't takes a lot of mess, so be aware of that. Even though she's a good teacher, it's still good that most people don't take her kindness for a weakness.
Computer Projects and Presentations
When we're in class doing projects and presentations, it is a lot of expectations. The most the expectations come from Power Point presentations. Some of us haven't learned the expectations 100% yet, but we still manage to keep going on with success. We have a lot of projects to do in this class. We do Power Points, New Technology Presentations, Computer Research, and also Scavenger Hunts on the computer. When we do these things we try to do it at the best of our ability. we try real hard and even though a few people fail, they still deserve to earn credit for what they did do.
Required Websites
We have several websites that we have visited during the time we've been in this class. The websites we visit are basically about computers or based on computers. We have visited websites with tests, games, and important information about computers that helps us with the class. These websites have became really helpful when we have to do presentations about computers. The most visited websites are: quia.com, glogster.com, and explornet.com. Quia.com is a website that we use to play games and answer questions about the computer and the components that we have discussed. Glogster.com is a website that we visit to post glogs about computers, components, or even information about computer that peopl can view and read about. Explornet.com is a website that we visit to take tests about lessons that we have went over. these websites are really helpful to us, and came in handy as we were going through the class.
Activities
We do a bunch of activities in this class. We do skits, scavenger hunts, and take apart computers and put them back together. The skits we do are nice. Most of them deals with how customers have attitudes and how you are supposed to deal with them. They all have turned out good, too. The scavenger hunts are activities where we have a set of question and we look all over the internet to find the answers. When we are taking apart computers and putting them back together, we have a good time. Most of us are at the point where we can do it in our sleep. But if it wasn't for the teacher taking time out of her daily life to show us this stuff, we wouldn't have no clue how to take these computers apart and put them back together. So, we really take advantage of this privilege.
Classmates
I have wonderful classmates. My classmates are very helpful and important to me because we all come together as one in a lot of situations. They are serious when it comes down to working with computers. Every one of my classmates seem to be proud that they have the advantage to be in a cmputer class. They are also focused and they don't be all loud and arguing alll of the time like in a couple of my other classes. But most of all, I really look up to my classmates, especially the seniors, because they are like my motivation for this class. But for the rest of them, they just helped me stay more focused and serious about this class.
The Teacher
Our teacher is a very good and nice teacher. Even though she doesn't take any mess, she is really not quick tempored. She respects people that respects her. She does a really good job on teaching us about computers and the components. She is very professional and serious about her work. Some people might think that she's mean or what ever, but I like her just the way she is. She also has a good personality that fits her career choice. She's a calm, fun, loving, and caring lady. And to cherish the class moments that I have with her, I do what she asks and do my very best in her class to make her proud. To be honest, if we were to have to get a new teacher, I would be really disappointed. So, it's best to do good and cherish as many moments with her as much as I can.
