Leaving the past

Where were the power rangers? The ones who saved us are no longer to be seen. Who were they? Would more dangers come to this town or are we saved.

These were the titles of every newspaper in Angel Grove. For a couple of years all the people only would talk about who were the rangers. The town was mostly destroy by the evil plans of Rita Repulsa. Little by little the town get better and the people forgot about the rangers who risk their lives for them. For a while, the rangers were expecting more dangers and action, but the evil never came. Like the rest of the town, they continue with their almost normal lives. Graduate from high school, some of them get away from Angel Grove, the rest stay.

Zack Taylor, the black ranger, tried to left his past behind, but it was difficult. Five years had pass. After the battle with Rita he wasn't the same. Zack misses the almost forgotten time he was a ranger. He felt unstoppable, for ones he could forget his problems and feel useful and part of something greater.

Now as being a 22 year old, he had to adjust to the reality of a normal life. He works as a mechanic in the town's repair garage. Working as hard as he can, even sometimes in other jobs, to provide for his mother. He ones was a savior for everyone, but now he can't save the most important person from the fate of dying. His mother get better in her sickness, but wasn't good enough.  Even when she pass every short expectation of life the doctors gave her, she is more weak day by day.

He was trying to not let the darkness of his life take the control. All the demons that surround him for years were gaining a place in his heart. The fears, angriness, problems and weaknesses were always in his head. Zack was lost until he met her. He saw in her his salvation, his light. Little did he know that this special girl had more darkness in herself than him. That girl couldn't escape the past and that was something Zack would have to figure out.
