King Janak was pacing the length of his chambers. His normally calm eyes were filled with tension. His brother Kushadhwaj was seated in a chair with his daughter Mandavi a three year old in his lap and was watching his brother restlessly walking round his room as if measuring it's length and breadth. King Janak's four years old daughter Sita was in the temple wing of the palace. They were all praying for just one thing and that is the well-being of the queen and the to be born baby. After a while Kushadhwaj's wife chandrabaga came out of the delivery room " Congratulations brother we are blessed with a daughter again " she said and gave a wide smile. In her hands was a cute little just born baby bundled in a blue cloth She had almond shaped eyes and her lips were as pink as rose buds. She was delicately soft. Janak received the baby and cuddled her close to his chest carefully. A tear drop escaped from his eyes and fell into the baby's hands
