Translation: Stagnant

Today he feel so...insignificant. His race have been among many others that called Earth their home before they vanish in time. They remained the few surviving race among many others that habituated the earth millions of years ago with their advance technology and prowess. But now they are stagnant, near extinction and facing an unknown threat.

So he didn't know what to feel, should he just say what he wanted? Would it be too blunt by this world's standard? He had never bothered to learn much of the modern ways. He watch the male stay seated in front of him and swore, swore that he saw a glimpse of an ancient race long vanish from earth's surface made of fire and purity. Night fire, pale, shining, burning quietly and made of resilience. He took in deep breath, to place a trust on a race so closely related, merely a siblings to the humans who take and destroy everything in their path.

"I am Barthelome."

The man blink before laughing softly in amusement as if saying, 'Yes you are, and?' Perhaps thinking Barthelome is bestowed in him. It irked him, the quick judgement, to lump and assume his mannerism together with other creature who's age are a fraction of his.

Barthelome took in a deep breath and began.

"There are races that comes before you, with far greater technology and civilization. Some say they are the Adams before Adam himself. They left their footprints, marks on earth and those who survived still left them. We were in the folkslore much older than often heard, our stories were told before they vanish with the wind, our cities sunken or destroyed, some were spoken in religious sacrilege and texts."

All the memories inside him rises up like boiling tidal waves as he continued. The prince tense up, now watching him with wary eyes, trying to determine if he is telling the truth or he had made the mistake of letting a lunatic in.

"There are beings before us. Before you and me, those that exist before and during my time and remained hidden today. The world are full of wonders, until the humans came. Now my kind stays hidden in the most remote places of earth. Caverns, deep caves with an entirely different world and creature, deep within forests. I came Your Royal Highness, to bargain the fate of my race. I extend my desire to have you assist us where we could not. An ambassador."

He watch the stillness settled in the male. Watch as he became an ethereal statue. The fire contained within. He came with hope, open his palm and begged for mercy.

Inferno

A few hours later the prince gave up on thinking but still retain the warinsss. It was obvious by the half curled up position the man took on the chaise, the room service food left untouched, no intention of letting his guard down at all.

Is this creature even in his right mind? He continued to stare at the man, the throwing knife around his wrist were hidden perfectly. Not to harm but to escape. As time passes by, he was thinking how crazy this man must be and he was growing more agitated, he feel trapped in a room with a possible threat and it doesn't feel safe. This is one being. He could not imagine if the whole night race are like this.

As he was deep in his emotions, he could feel something brushing inside him, sliding close before he pushed it back down.

"No" He sighed, and answered with steady yet bored voice.

Suddenly, the hair on his arms raise, something suffocating filled the room and he took in the way power seems to filled those muscular strong frame and tense. The vampire's eyes filled with emotions so deep and unknown to him made him even more wary, despite the fact that it looked like he was cozying himself up against the lounge. He wanted to come off as a spoiled prince, the last unknown prince who had fooled around with the heir to the throne. He had make use of people's judgement and successed but he wondered if he will come out alive of this one.

The growled that came out of the man's mouth was animalistic but the words somehow cut deep in him, "In case you have yet ever wondered little prince, I am not fooled by your antics. I met your gaze multiple times and I know that is a facade." The power receded, making him aware of how quiet the room is. Alvah nearly breathed out his relief.

But with that anger raise inside him, his breathing slightly erratic as it started to consume him.

"Before you throw me out, tell me what I can do to convince you. We need you to help us. An alliance between you and us.

Your family would be pleased."

When he heard that last sentence he snapped. Then the knives came off his wrist shed in a swift blurr at the male.

Sharp sound as if the knife had run against something leathery and steel when it hit the vampire's arms. One broke when it came in contact with his bare flesh despite the fact that he caught the rest of it.

"That was not very calm minded of you...." he paused before continuing, "More of hot tempered and feisty, I-" he looked up and stopped, eyes widen slightly in surprise when Alvah charged at him and slammed their heads together. Both staggered, the previous due to pain and the later due to shock. The prince's nose was bleeding as he staggered.

Barthelome was shocked at the stupidity displayed, "You are bleeding. The knife broke and your solution is to slammed our head together-."

"Get out" Slender hand that contained more strength than they should, as it yanked the vampire's collar so that he reached the prince's height. The brown in the man's eyes were burning, "I have no aim to please anyone nor do I have any desire to change myself for anyone ever again do you understand me? Now get out. Get out and perhaps I will listen to your pleading if you come back with better ideas to persuade me or even better, beg my family members."

The man's eyes glowed, "I will have your word little prince and come back again."

"I am not a little prince!"

"Pity, your tantrum begs to differ."

Alvah gnash his teeth together.

The vampire stride across the room with the elegance of a jungle cat. He exited but not before turning half of his face to look at the prince. He utter something that infuriates the prince further, "I am certain that I can persuade you in various ways. Since it displeased you so much..." he practically purred before continuing, "There is no need to have your family involved of course. I will be in touch"

and close the door behind him.

Gone were the confidence and composure he had gathered in years at the mere picking by some common night children. He wanted to drown in his anger even more, because his anger is insatiable.

But, but some logical part of him convinced him to follow and listen to the man...no, some part of him was so desperate to get away, to belong that he wanted to place his belief in a possible mad vampire.

He needed more time.

Oh if only he had more time...
