My stomach growled in anger at me, demanding to be fed. Five pounds. That's all I got today. Pushing myself up I ran my fingers through my greasy hair that hadn't been bathed in months. It took almost all my strength to stand and shuffle down the cold streets. The rain slapped under my bare feet and dimming lights illuminated the rain and puddles. All my bones ached. My clothes clung to my body from the dampness caused by the rain. I gripped the five pounds in my hand knowing it would be the only thing to keep me alive for the next week. A deep heaving cough exploded from my chest knocking me to my knees. Rain soaked down my back as I collapsed, finally giving up after months.

A dark figure ran down the streets towards me. Their arms wrapping around my frozen body. A muffled yell for someone, I hardly heard but it sounded like a name. Phil I think. My body rocked back and forth as the man I assume ran down the streets with me in their arms. The corners of my vision went dark as I took in a small breath. I listened to the sound of my own heart. This wouldn't be an awful way of dying, someone holding me. A few tears rolled down my numb face. Would anyone notice? It's not that bad. With that final thought, I blacked out.

So this is the beginning, please enjoy and leave a comment on your thoughts. I know this one is short (that's what she said) but it's the opening so basically I'll try to make longer chapters. I have no update schedule and yeh... bye
