Headcanon

When Brian was a kid, he was a scout. He learned aaall tha shit, like knowing toxic berries, making certain knots and whatever you do there.

However, a year after he met Tim, Tim told him about his panic attacks. In order for Tim to calm down if he had an attack again, Brian taught him how to make knots.

So now Tim is always carrying a small thread with him, fumbling with it whenever he's nervous.
