I woke up in the hospital with a pounding headache. I lay up but quickly laid back down when I started to get a little dizzy. I look on the wall clock and it read 4:15. I look to my side and see Jacob sleeping. I turn my head to the ceiling and sigh thinking about everything, letting the tears fall freely. I really don't cry because I don't want people to see me cry because I look like a walrus. But when I do I don't hold back. All you through out the room was my sobs. I felt someone sit on the bed next to me and wrap their arms around me and all I do is cry into their shirt. When I finish crying I look up and see Jacob looking down at me. I move away from him a little putting space between him and I.
"What's wrong" Jacob said to me with concern written on his face.
"It's nothing" I said putting on a fake smile lying right through my teeth. Every thing's wrong.
The door opened revealing the doctor and two cops behind him.
"Hello Jayla I'm Dr.Porter" He said holding his hand out for me to shake. I sat up and shook his hand.
"From the looks of it you should be good to go in probably a week depending on how your fast your body heals"
I nod my head. As Dr.Porter walked out of the room.
"Hello Jayla I'm Officer Sinclair and this is Officer Radcliff" Said the woman with brown hair and dark brown eyes.
"Hello Jayla we would like to ask you a few questions" said Officer Radcliff who was a man with sandy blonde hair and dark blue eyes.
"So Jayla can you start from the beginning" said Officer Sinclair
"Ok um after school I had picked up my younger brother Nathan and dropped him off at His friends Hunter house-Wait a minute where's Nathan" I said starting to panic
"He's okay he's at my house with my mom" Jacob said calming me down.
"Can you finish the story Jayla" said Officer Radcliff
"Yeah um after I dropped Nathan I went to my apartment. When I went to check the fridge there was no food so I started walking to the store. When I was walking to the store I felt like someone was watching me. I felt like someone was watching all week. So anyway I felt someone grab me I tried to get free but they were to strong. I bit their hand but that only resulted me getting knocked out". I said taking a breather.
"They took me to the basement that was in my house and they tied me to a chair and they tortured me for a week. Then When they brought Nathan in and we escaped."I said finishing up the story.
"Do you know who your kidnappers were" Officer Radcliff asked me
"Yeah it was a girl that went to my school named Ruby and...My dad" I said. I could see Jacob visably tense from the corner of my eye
"Do you have any reason why they would want to kidnap you" Officer Sinclair said
"Um Ruby didn't like me because she wanted her family back together and I was in the way". I said as I took a peek at Jacob
"Why are you consider to be In the way" Officer Sinclair said
"Cause the baby daddy loved me and he wouldn't break up with me" He said
"Okay and about your dad" Officer Radcliff asked
"My dad was mad because I ran away with Nathan" I said
"Why exactly did you run away with your little brother" Officer Radcliff asked
"Because my father is an alcoholic and he was abusive" I said looking at my fingers that I were playing with
"Why didn't you come to the police about this" Officer Sinclair asked
"I guess I was always too scared to come forward about it and embarrassed that I let it go on for so long" I said looking down again.
"Okay I think that's all thank you Jayla for being co-operative we will make sure they spend their sentences" Officer Radcliff said as him and Officer Sinclair left the room.
"Hey you did great" Jacob said moving a price of hair behind my ear.
"Yeah" I said not looking at him
"Okay Jayla what's wrong, you've been acting weird towards me ever since you got back" he said
I looked at him with an angry expression "You think I was just going to be fine, I got kidnapped for godness sake" I said to him
"I know but why are you taking it out on me" He said
"Because you ar the primary cause of why I got kidnapped, If you would've used a condom and you didn't get Ruby knocked up I wouldn't be in this mess" I said practically yelling now
"Look Jacob I love you but a child how could you keep that you had a child from me" I said yelling
"I didn't know how to tell you what was I supposed to say 'Hey Jayla I found out I have a baby by my crazy ex phycho girlfriend" he said yelling at me back
"You could have told me the truth. You know Jacob we were never gonna work. Our relationship is but a big lie'' I said yelling back
"What are you saying" he said
" It was so stupid of me to think that someone like you would fall in love with me" I said with a laugh even though nothing was funny.
"But I do love you Jayla don't do this" he said holding my hand
I take my hand out of his and said "I'm sorry Jacob but I can't do this. I am tired of hurting so much and I need time to myself, I'm so sorry you will always be The Bully I Fell In Love With" I said and gave him a long kiss on the cheek.
Just than Jacobs mom walked in with a sleeping Nathan and gave him to me. She walked out and Jacob followed her out but not before looking back and mouthing 'i love you' and closed the door behind him.
And that's when I let it all out. I held Nathan close to me and just cried. But even though I'm crying now I'm gonna be okay in the future. I kiss Nathan's head and laid down.
