"Liam?" I questioned more to myself.

"Laura" he replied in a husky voice.

"Liam?" I questioned again searching his face not believing my eyes.

"Laura" he said again looking amused.

"LIAM!" I jumped at him pulling him into a tight hug.

"For a second I thought you were a broken record." He chuckled under me laying toppled on the sand.

"Liam." I muttered again placing my face in the crook of his neck taking in the smell I missed so much.

"Wait, you are a broken record" He said hugging me tighter.

After about 5 minutes of hugging we pulled apart, well he pried me off of him.

"Laura" He said again.

"Liam" I muttered.

We just stared at each other not knowing what to say.

"You disappeared." I said looking at him, hurt flashing in my eyes.

"I know" He whispered not meeting my eyes.

"Why?" I questioned.

"Laura, it's complicated. You know how college gets and then I got involved with the wrong people at the wrong time and I was in a mess for quite a while. As soon as it was sorted I came right back." He said searching my face for any sign of understanding.

I didn't respond, I didn't know how to respond.

"I don't expect you to forgive me but please tell me what's going on with you." He pleaded. And then I broke down.

...

I had finally calmed down, I think it was pent up anger and frustration from all those years he wasn't here and also what had recently been going on. Sarah has been really busy these last few weeks and I've had no one to talk to.

"Is it really that bad?" Liam asked looking defeatedly in my directly.

I didn't respond, anything I say will make it worse.

I looked at him and started from when we lost contact.
