Chapter 16: The Truth

"So.... Do you want anything to eat? " he asked me

"Umm... No I'm fine" I replied

"Do you want Ice Cream?" he asked

"Umm... I guess one Ice Cream is not that bad.... So... Okay" I replied

He then stoop up from the swing and head towards the nearest Ice Cream truck to buy both of us an Ice Cream

While I was waiting for him to come back. I thought about Naruto

My eyes then began to water remembering our happy moments together when he was still here with us

"...*sobs*....Oh Naru-kun. I wish you were just here so you could look at your son.... Our son. ....*sobs*...... He's so big now. I also found a person that looks just like you, Naru-kun...... His actions kind of...... Reminds me of you..... I wish you were here" I muttered out while warm tears are falling down my cheeks

"I'm sorry..... If I didn't come back as promised, Hinata. But I'm back now...." A husky voice spoke behind me

I looked around to see Jeon standing there while giving me a warm smile

He then walked towards the swing where he was sitting before he left.

"...... I'm sorry if I didn't came early. But at least I'm hear now as promised.............hime" he said as he wiped my tears away

I cried once again when I heard the word 'hime'

I hugged him tightly

"Oh... Naruto.... It's really you. I'd knew you'd came back. You never go back on your word" I said while still hugging him

We pulled apart

"I missed you so much, my hime" he said

"I missed you more, Naru-kun" I said

I then slowly leaned towards him and kissed him passionately

When we pull apart our foreheads are still touching

"You know, hime. I-" Naruto got interrupted by someone

"Ahhhhhh!!!!! " someone screamed

Me and Naruto quickly ran towards the direction where the scream came from

We saw Boruto there, about to hit by a car

But with Naruto's quick movement he managed to push Boruto to the sidewalk and in exchange he's the one who got hit by the car

"Naruto!!!! " I shouted his named
as I ran towards his blooded body

I put his head on my lap

He gently opened up his eyes

"H-hinata.....? " Naruto muttered out weakly

"Shh.... Save your strength" I shushed him while crying hardly

"I-I..... Want t-t-to tell y-you s-something" he said

"Ya know what's the best...... t-thing had h-h-happened to m-me? " he asked weakly

"What is it?.... " I asked still crying

".....the b-best t-t-thing that h-happened t-to my life i-is that...... I g-get to f-fall in l-love with y-y-you..... all over again.... *smiles*" he said weakly while also smiling weakly

"Please Naruto...... *sobs*..... Don't talk like that....... Please someone call an ambulance!!!" I shouted for help

Naruto then slowly closed his eyes

Before he completely closed his eyes, I kissed his lips passionately
A few minutes later. The ambulance arrived

Time Skip
--At the Hospital--

Naruto's operation just finished a few minutes ago.

I am now at his room watching him and also checking his pulse if its already getting higher

I was sitting at a chair while holding his left hand

"Please... Naruto.... Wake up... I need you. Don't leave me again" I muttered out

I then felt myself become sleepy. I gently laid my head down to the bed to take a rest

A few hours later, I was woken up by something moving that's attached to my hand. I slowly lift up my head and looked over to Naruto to see him looking at me all wide awake

"Morning, sleeping beauty" he greeted me

I just smile at him

"How are you feeling?" I asked

"Now that you're here...... I'm fine now" he replied

I blushed a bit

"Where's Boruto?? " he asked

"Oh.... He's at home with Sasuke-kun and Sakura-chan" I replied

He just smiled

"Ya know..... I'm really glad that I met you Hinata, because if I don't. I don't know what I'm going to be right now.... " he said while caressing my cheek

"Oh.... And I'm glad that I have the chance to meet you too.... " I replied

I then kissed him again, but it won't last long because Sasuke and Sakura just came with Boruto

"It's good to have you back, dobe" Sasuke said to Naruto

"I'm glad to be back, teme" Naruto replied

"Daddy!!" Boruto shouted as he ran towards his father to give him a hug

I just giggled at both of them
