Quickly swallowing I raised a questioning eyebrow at Daxton to ask what he was doing sitting next to me. He just shot me a mock smile and started eating his food, very civilised. He continued giving me the sarcastic smile.

Getting the hint that he had no intention of leaving, I grabbed my bag putting the Caprisun in it–

"stay" I heard, dismissing it as just the wind I started grabbing my delicious green apples when he turned to face me and looked directly at me and said "stay" loud enough for me to hear this time. His eyes were so unnatural. They were grey with tinges of bright green in them, you could see the orbs and figure out how the eye was made, I literally got lost for a second there. I sat back down and continued with my meal, like I didn't just stare right at him for half a minute straight. We ate in silence, unlike what I was expecting it wasn't too uncomfortable.

As I was getting into my bag to get my juice out for the 3rd time a Junior came up to me with a sneer and gave me a slip, it was from Principle Mason stating that he wanted to see me at 12:00pm. Feeling a little nerved and trying to recall if I'd done anything because he rarely ever called me to his office, I checked my mobile phone and realised it was 11:54. I quickly grabbed my bag and pulled myself out of the picnic style bench only to have Daxton raising an eyebrow at me as to know what was going on, I just stared at him flatly before rushing to the office.

I knocked at the huge wooden door of his office before going in. "Right on time Ms. DeMarco" the principle acknowledged. "Afternoon Mr. Mason, I got your slip." I responded looking at the huge marbled room, it had high ceiling and a chandelier hanging from it which I had only ever seen twice before now.

"Take a seat please" He said gesturing to one of the leather chairs in front of his mahogany desk. "Ms. DeMarco I have a task at my hand which I think you could do best right now." he said

"Of course Sir" I responded wondering what I was up against.

He started going through one of his desks looking for something but since he couldn't locate it, he picked up his phone and motioned his index finger at me indicating for me to give him a minute. Nodding at him I spotted a frame on his desk of a little girl on a tire swing in a beautiful garden giving a broad smile at the camera, just a breath away from bursting into giggles. I can only imagine how life would feel without any single care in the world.

Looking further around I admired the lavish furniture. It was no secret that this was one of the most prestigious school's in Town, only the filthy rich could afford going here or the scholars. The school consisted of either spoiled obnoxious boys and bratty divas who couldn't take no for an answer or the pushy scholarship students who were mercilessly bullied. I was so out of the entire loop.

"Here" Mr. Mason said brining me out of my monolog. "This is the schedule of the new student who joined us today. Please show him around and help him out until he's familiar with his surroundings." He finished off.

"Mr. Mason how come our school took a student in the middle of the year, considering we haven't ever done it." I asked genuinely intrigued.

"He had some problems at his old school that he's asked we keep confidential so he transferred here, I trust you won't spread the word around Ms. DeMarco?" he gave me a questioning look.

"Of course not sir." I responded standing up and collecting the schedule he'd given me to head out when there was a knock and Daxton walked in. Looking a little surprised I gave him a quick glance and then looked back at Mr. Mason. "Afternoon Sir" Daxton nodded towards Mr. Mason. "Hello, Daxton. I was just discussing your schedule with Ms. DeMarco here, she'll be your Pal this week. Helping and showing you around until you find a group of people you're comfortable with, she'll assist you with your classes as well. If you need any extra help, you know where my office is." He concluded. "Thank you so much Sir." Daxton nodded once again and started out of the room with me on his heels.

Going through his schedule I realised we had almost every class together except 2nd where I had Spanish and he had AP French and 5th where I had journalism and him IT. He stepped in beside me and we walked in silence to our last class, PE.

I didn't usually dread PE, it was honestly fun but with the sore feet and everything I was kind of disappointed I wouldn't get to move around and ease my muscles. Daxton went into the guys changing room and I headed towards Coach Duncan's room to hand his the Doctors note.

I was sat on the bleachers when students started piling in, doing stretched, some sprinted right off to do warmup laps. As soon as Daxton came in all the girls stopped to look at him, his hair tousled so perfectly, the white PE shirt showing off his defined muscles and the maroon shorts making him look boyish. All the girls started giggling and batting their eyelashes at him but he didn't give them a glance. After a lap he realised I was on the bleachers and he shot me an eyebrow, I just rolled my eyes and he started for another lap.

Tapping my foot, waiting for Daxton by the school gates to tell him tomorrows plan I was looking around when I spotted him.

He looked at me and stopped, "Come by an hour earlier tomorrow. I'll show you around the school and help you get prepped for all the classes so we don't waste time during each and get a tardy." He nodded, looking intently at me. Feeling scrutinised, I gave him a tight goodbye nod and headed to my car.

On my way home it was so hard to concentrate, the pain in my leg was so intense that I was shaking. Both, the shot and pills had completely wore out. Just as I was making speeding to get trough a green light it turned red and, the pain got the best of me and I accidentally slammed the accelerator instead of the brakes making my car slam into the one ahead of me.
