Annabeth thought Percy was one of the sweetest men alive. In fact, she knew he was. But that didn't stop her from using fictional characters to make him jealous. Like tonight.
They were watching Leap Year (it was Percy's turn to choose for movie night) and Annabeth couldn't help but remark about how hot she found the Irish accents within the movie. Percy scowled, but said nothing, and Annabeth had almost though she hadn't gotten to him.
But then, after the movie, she started talking to him about the movie.
"So, Percy, what did you think of the movie?" She asked, folding the blanket they were snuggled under as she stood up.
"I mean, it was okay. Not totally my kind of movie." Percy responded in an Irish accent. A bad one, at that.
"Perce? What's going on with your voice? It's doing something weird..." she trailed off, looking at him worriedly.
"I'm just talking in an Irish accent. You did say that you liked those, especially on men, I think were your exact words." Percy responded, still using the foolish accent, looking at her dejectedly.
"Oh Percy! I just like them in theory...but I like your voice even better. Your voice has a New York accent and is rich and full and almost sounds like the sea sometimes. But best of all, it belongs to my favorite person...you." She nudged him a little. He grabbed her and pulled her back into his lap.
"Are you sure?" He whispered, now back to using his regular voice.
"Of course." She nodded, and kissed him gently. "Now, I do believe it is time for bed, Mr. Jackson."
"You would be correct, soon-to-be Mrs. Jackson." He responded, and Annabeth giggled at the thought of her new name. But she couldn't help but correct him.
"Mrs. Chase-Jackson, actually."
He just rolled his eyes.
