*RECAP* He reached over to peck Jenna on the lips and I felt my body quiver in jealousy. Then he looked back at me, and that's when our eyes met.
His big chocolate brown eyes looked into mine, he stared at me blankly for a couple seconds, then my sister said, "This is my little sister Jamie, she had to come."
Manny looked at me, and then gave me a polite smile and turned around. As soon as he did I let out a deep breath that I hadn't realized I was holding in. I watched as Jenna grabbed Manny's hand and gave him a flirty smile, I felt vile rise up in the back of my throat.
I peaked my head up a little bit to try to get a better look at him, he was wearing a white v neck shirt and dark skinny jeans, his eyes were a deep brown and covered in dark lashes, his hair was short and brown, he had a slight tan. I looked up and saw Jenna looking at me weirdly in the rear view mirror; I quickly sank back down in my seat and listened to my music the whole ride.
When the car stopped, Jenna turned around and handed me the movie ticket, I snatched it from her, and she glared at me before getting out of the car, Manny stayed in for a little bit, then I saw Jenna come around to his side of the mirror and bang on it, he looked at her and she motioned him to get out, I turned my music down and heard him sigh, and get out. I stared at the retreating figures confused, why did it sound like he didn't want to get out?
I waited until I couldn't see them and got out, I didn't want to hang around them, I don't think my stomach could take watching them hold hands and kiss anymore than I already have. I go in the theatre and enter the room, the theatre's not very full, there's probably about ten people here, mainly young couples.
I'm not surprised though, the movie is a scary movie. I hate scary movies, there not even scary, there just corny and over rated. I scanned the room for Jenna and Manny, and saw them in the middle row, I scowled when I saw them sucking face, I went straight up to the top row, and was excited when I saw I was the only one there. I got in the last seat and got myself comfortable by putting my feet up on the chair in front of me, putting my head phones in and turning the music up, and laying my head back.
A couple minutes later I felt someone beside me, I could just sense it. I lifted my head up and saw Manny sitting beside me, looking at me. I took my head phones out and we just sat there studying each other.
"Where's Jenna?" I asked.
"She had to use the bathroom and get some snacks." He answered.
"Oh, why are you up here?"
"Because I wanted to see you."
"Well you've seen me."
"Yeah I have, what are you listening to?" He asked.
I shrugged my shoulders and handed him one of the head phones, he put it in his ear, and I saw a crooked smile appear. I guess he likes it. I put the other head phone in and sat back. I snuck a glance at him, and saw him looking at me. We both quickly looked away. A smile spread across my face...he was so looking at me.
Then he pulled out my head phone and whispered, "Why are you smiling?"
I quickly wiped the smile off and looked at him, "I'm not smiling."
Then he smiled wickedly, "Yes you were, I saw you."
"Why were you looking at me?" I asked trying to avoid his question.
"Because your interesting to look at." I stiffened, not expecting him to answer.
Then he got up and walked back to his seat just as Jenna came back. I got hot all of a sudden and felt my face, I was sweating, I've never reacted to any guy like this before, so why am I acting like this towards him? He's my sister's boyfriend for god's sake!
I forced Manny out of my head and turned my music back up, it was going great at first, then he snuck back into my head, I huffed. I looked up at the big movie screen and saw the movie had started, Jenna was basically in Manny's lap, she looked scared to death, she's a pussy. Manny looked bored, I felt his pain.
I took my head phones out and decided to just watch the movie. It was actually pretty good, and it did get scary at some points, I found myself holding my knees to my chest towards the end, I glanced down and saw Manny looking at me, his head was slightly turned my way, I forgot about the movie and just looked at him for a while, until Manny broke contact and turned back around.
I cursed myself for looking at him, if I was going to get him out of my head I needed to stop staring at him like a freak. When the movie was over the lights came back on, and everyone stood up slowly, stretching. I waited for everyone to leave, I watched as Jenna lead Manny out, when everyone left, I got up and made my way out.
I got to the car after they did, I sat in my seat and listened as Jenna talked about how awesome the movie was, Manny occasionally put in his thoughts on it, I could tell he didn't like the movie by the way he was being so polite. Jenna was oblivious to this though, she couldn't tell he hated it. She's so dense. Shit. I heard Jenna cuss, and I noticed what she cussed at, the gas was almost out. She parked into a gas station and got out.
"You hated the movie." I said, more of a statement than a question.
He turned around and looked at me amused, "You caught onto that huh?"
"Yeah." I said smiling. "It sucked ass."
He started laughing and so did I.
"I don't understand why the fucking girl didn't just run when the man with the huge knife came running at her!" Manny said.
"And why the hell would you go towards the screaming!?" I said between a fit a giggles.
We both started into a fit of laughter, when Jenna got in, she looked at us like we were crazy.
"What's so funny?" She asked.
"Nothing...." Manny mumbled.
He took a quick glance at me and winked, I winked back.
"Whatever..." Jenna mumbled.
We stopped at Manny's house and they kissed, I made sure to cover my eyes, but that doesn't mean I didn't hear them. Manny got out, but then he stopped, he went over to my door and opened it, I looked at him.
Jenna turned around to look at him to, she looked confused.
"What are you doing Manny?" Jenna asked.
He gave me a side hug, and kissed my check lightly, but he did it so Jenna didn't see him kiss me, I blushed, he looked at her and smiled, "She's your little sister! I wanted to give her a hug."
Jenna smiled brightly, "That's so sweet Manny, you're so thoughtful." He chuckled, I looked at him and he gave me a little smile and a nod before walking into his house.
Jenna sighed and put that same annoying dreamy smile on, "Isn't he the best?" She asked me.
"He's okay." I answered. But I didn't think he was "okay" I thought he was totally amazing.
