I gasped as a face appeared it was a woman she seemed to be in her late twenties at least she opened her sad grey eyes but kept a firm grasp on my fully emerged arm ,forcing my face centimetres from the water , she opened her mouth and began to speak 'they are coming for you ,be cautious,' the look on her face turned from sadness to stress she began to speak frantically 'I must go ,we will see each other again ,once I am gone run as fast as you can from the waters edge and get back to your house .stay with Tyler!,I will come for you' before I could reply she was gone and my arm was released I stood up shaking ,I turned to run but was yanked down by the ankle I screamed as I struggled to crawl away but the pull was strong and I was too weak. my body was dragged into the water ,I began to struggle and try to fight off whatever was holding me down. I cringed as the familiar feeling took hold of me I wet blank for a moment and when I opened up my eyes again my surroundings were clear as were the sounds of thrashing from underneath me ,I realised I wasn'tt being held down any more and tried to swim upwards but was violently grabbed again from below 'let go ' I screamed before something slithered up my back ,the hold was released on my tail but moved up until I was grasped firmly around the waist 'such a shame ,your prettier than the others' a male voice cackledI,I elbowed him in the stomach and darted away I was thankfull that my skills had manually improved I turned back around when I was a safe distance from him ,he was holding his stomach I gasped at the creature I saw he could easily be mistaken as human from a distance but my extensive vision told me otherwise. His feet and hands were webbed,a thin film of skin ,almost invisible even to me,joined his arm to his side ,and resembled bats wings when he spread his arms his face was handsome even with the heaving gills that looked like scars starting from his ears and ending at his cheeks,although the most frightening part of him was his crystaline eyes the irises although blue ,were half covered in red as if each coulour was fighting for control.he was beautifull in every aspect and so mesmerizingly graceful as he glided towards me with utter determination It was almost to late when I realised I was about to be captured or worse ,so I did all I could think of I flung my body up and out of the water with all my might trying to calculate in my head where the rocks were ,and thankfully I landed like a helpless fish on sharp rocky surface I grabbed the nearest rock and pulled myself further away wheezingg and coughing as the air filled my lungs and my legs returned I looked back at the ocean and caught a glimpse of splashing water, I shivered and closed my eyes 'perri ,perri are youOKk' I heard a soft whisper as I opened my eyes toTylerr cradling me in his arms I smiled 'just had a bad dream' I replied remembering the freakish dream I had had about nearly being captured or killed by whatever or whoever that creature in the water was I closed my eyes again sleepily 'whatever happened wasn't a dream perri I found you all scratched up and soaking wet passed out on the rocks' I sat up and my eyes flung open as the memories of todays events came tumbling down on me
I told tyler everything not caring if he thaught I was crazy or delusional I told him about everything that happened starting from the first time I realised I transformed to todays run in with the water lady and the crazy fish man ,tyler listened he held me closer when I told him about every painfull detail and wiped my tears away when I cried although he never said a word 'and thats everything that happened up until now 'I finished ,tyler stared at me a little longer different expressions playing over his face 'perri I know' he confessed with an expression I couldnt place 'well I just told you so id be surprised if you didnt know'. 'I already knew ' he replied looking away 'I dont understand' I whispered 'you will ' I was about to get angry at him ,but something inside me told me not to ask anymore ,his gaze lingered over my face then a tinge of red crossed over his face I whispered a laugh and he smiled at me a perfect smile he was the most amazing person I had ever met ,he was so much like me.... I think ..but no I couldnt ive only known him for a few weeks
,i smiled back and we stared for a few moments longer he moved his face closer to mine I closed my eyes instinctively I could feel his breath on my face he lightly brushed his lips across my cheek ,his breathing quickened and I felt his soft breath hovering over my lips, and for the first time since all of this mess started I almost felt like I wasnt alone like I had someone who cared and could protect me although somewhere inside of me I wondered if that were true 'what the hell man!' my attention shot to the door where nick was standing his face red with anger 'what the hell are you doing ' he growled 'we need to talk' he stormed into the hallway ,tyler gently rested my body against my bed ,i hadnt noticed where I was until now for obvious reasons ,he smiled and left shutting the door behind him ,i listened closely but when I heard nothing but muffled whispers I pressed my ear against the wall behind my wooden bed head , I heard three voices ,nick ,tyler and tane ,i pressed harder 'mind your own buisiness nick' tyler spat 'come on guys please not here we have a job to do ' tane pleaded
a job to do what the hell is going on .then nick spoke
'shes vulnerable and your taking advantage of her tyler ,she doesent care about you and your being unproffessional,you know there is no way you could ever be with her' there was a long painfull silence 'maybe your right' he hissed
I was so confused and I did feel vulnerable I needed to know what was going on
,i let a few tears slide down my face
,i winced as I got out of bed ,my ankle nearly gave way ,i must have sprained it ,i tried to walk again and to my surprise it already seemed better and the next step I took it felt like normal I ignored it as I flung the bedroom door open and met the surprised faces of the three boys 'perri' the three boys spoke in unison 'why are you really here?' I asked weakly 'who the hell are you ,are you one of them, those sirens or whatever the hell they are ,whats your plan gain my trust then take me to them , offer me up on a silver platter ' silent tears fell like a stream down my face ,tyler came to my side but I pushed him away he looked hurt but regained himself and looked away from me
'maybe its time you know' Tyler spoke softly still looking away.
