**Maddie’s POV**
“Thanks for babysitting, Fred,” I says, walking into the living room and taking my coat off.
“No problem,” Fred says, jumping to his feet, “how is he?”
“He’s fine,” I sigh, “a bit shaken up, but fine.”
“And George?”
The front door slams and we both wince.
“Furious,” I breathe.
“Who did it?” Fred asks.
“Alithea did,” George snaps, walking in and throwing his coat down.
“Calm down,” I tell him gently.
“I can’t calm down!” he yells, “my daughter nearly killed my son! What about that would be calming?”
I see Fred sneak out with a little wave and I take a few breaths.
“We don’t know what happened,” I reply, “it might’ve been an accident.”
“Not bloody likely!”
“George!” I protest, “she’s our daughter!”
“He’s our son!” George yells, “AND SHE ALMOST KILLED HIM!”
