I was telling him, I was finally doing it. He laughed in my face, and pulled back a curtain to show an entire crowd of people who were laughing as well. In the front row, there was my best friend, laughing, and then she got up and kissed him.

I woke up sobbing, my mother beside me asking what was wrong.

"It was nothing, just a bad nightmare."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No."

"Okay." she said, then left. I had the best mother in the universe, because she knew me very well, and knew when I needed to be left alone, like now, for example. I sat, thinking. I needed to at least start planning how I was going to tell him. I had to do it. I couldn't just sit here and let the days pass me by. I sat thinking, watching the time on the clock tick by, tick tock, tick tock. 5 days to go.
