"Can you come over?"
"You ok? I'll be there in five."
I sighed, laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I closed my eyes and listened to the music that was playing and the background.
"Honey, I'm home!" Screamed Josh. I hear him the close the door and come up the stairs.
"Evie, are you ok?"
"Have you heard the news?" I said, my eyes still closed.
"Awe, Evie, they're probably fake. Jaxson wouldn't cheat, hopefully. Have you talked to him? He isn't like that, he's never been like that so why would he start now. Who would cheat on you? I mean you're a great girl. You're smart, funny, loving... You are so fucking wonderful."
I stifle a laugh.
"I've never heard you being so serious. I love the funny side of you, the one that gets caught flicking off a teacher and then says that you were only stretching your fingers. Show me that side because right now I need to laugh." I say trying not to blink and let the tears that are sitting on my eyes roll down my cheeks.
"Why don't we just go to the movies? My treat."
"Is Southside With You still playing?"

So, we went to see Southside With You. We got a jumbo popcorn and put m&m's, Twizzlers, nerds and a bunch of other candy in the bucket butter on one side, no butter on the other. He got unsweetened tea, I got sweet tea an waited in our seats; middle column, third row. You didn't want to be with the couples that were making out in the back row and you didn't want to be in the very front looking up so when you're out of the move your neck doesn't hurt. Yet, you didn't want to be in the middle because you can't see with all the rows of people in front of you, and also the screaming children. So the third row was perfect for us.
The movie was good, it got my mind off of Jaxson. Until I saw him leaving the building holding hands with Maia Jones.
