Clarke lay on her bed, she was gazing out the window in her room which viewed what felt like the whole galaxy. Her eyes were heavy and tired, she had been thinking deeply about what came next. It was almost time to move out of her parents quarters. Her plan was to move out of the alpha station and into Mecha station. She wanted to work at the ark medical which was quite close to there, plus she found herself a roommate.

Clarke rolls onto her back and stares up at her roof with a sigh. For a short moment she closes her eyes feeling the stress gnaw at her stomach.

Before she could even think her mother Abby came through the door, "Clarke, you really don't have to move out of here. We have plenty of space still and I'm sure Chancellor Jaha wouldn't mind at all. I mean it's perfectly normal for kids to stay-" She began before being cut off.

"Mom, I've told you almost a hundred times now. It's time for me to start my own life. I'm ready for this I promise" Clarke insists as she sat up on her bed with a smile.

Abby looks at her with a unconvinced frown but just sighs. "If you're absolutely positive..."

Clarke walks up to Abby and places her hand on her shoulder trying to comfort her. "Don't worry about me Mom, besides you have Dad and you won't be that lonely without me" she laughs trying to brighten the mood.

Abby couldn't help but chuckle, she rolls her eyes and turns away. "With all the work he's involved with nowadays I'll be seeing you way more than him, who's living here" she grumbles but with a smile.

Clarke hugs her tightly before she could leave "Don't worry, I'll be fine" she insists before saying goodbye.

She looks back one last time at her room. It was empty now, she only had one last box to move into her new living space. Then she would officially be moved out. She couldn't help but feel happiness stir in her stomach. She grabs the only remaining box and flicks off the light.

Clarke makes her way through her living room, which was quite big compared to other spaces on the Ark. She looks over at her Mom and Jake her Dad who were waiting at the door. Her mom just smiled, looking proud yet her eyes were watering. Her father on the other hand was narrowing his eyes, he seemed really upset that she was leaving.

"Listen, if you uh... ever have any trouble, I'm always here to help. You know that, right kiddo?" He stammers out forcing a smile.

Clarke smiles at him, her eyes bright "Dad, I'll be fine. Quit worrying about me, everyone has to move out one day" she insists and pulls the front door open.

Jake looks down in embarrassment realizing how immature he was acting "I know, I'm just being a parent you know? You'll understand one day" He sighs glancing up at her.

Clarke nods and kisses both her parents on the cheek "I love you both lots, I'll see you soon. It's not like I'm that far away" she promises before leaving.

She looked ahead with great wonder and curiosity at what lied ahead of her. Tomorrow she started her apprenticeship at the medical centre and before she knew it she would have a job and probably a family one day. The idea of that made her feel sick, she shook her head clearing her mind and began to walk.

She makes her way through Alpha station and down the connecting hallways that join up with Mecha. She felt nervous and kept her gaze low. She couldn't help but feel as if the people passing by were giving her weird looks.

Clarke suddenly rammed into the person ahead of her who had stopped suddenly. "Ow!" She shrieks as her box of belongings went flying and she stumbled almost falling backwards. She crouches down quickly before the person she hit noticed, and grabs her box which had luckily been taped shut. Clarke gazes up at the person she just ran into. He was a dark haired boy who seemed to be around her age. He wore a guards uniform and his expression radiated with annoyance. "Watch where you're going, would you?" He snaps, his eyes full of frustration.
