Viktor and Yuuri were inseparable for almost three years. But now, Viktor finds himself desperately in love with his soulmate who can't even look at him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Viktor stared at the back of Yuuri's head. The black-haired boy was staring at the illuminated computer screen on his lap. Viktor could still feel the butterflies in his stomach, even after three years; even though he knew Yuuri didn't.

"Hey, Yuuri, Yurio and Otabek are down at the rink. Why don't we go practice with them?"

"I guess." Viktor smiled to himself, happy that his soulmate would at least talk to him still.

----

"Hey look, it's the piggy!" Yurio called as Yuuri and Viktor walked in the door to the ice rink.

"Hey, Yurio." Yuri waved to the smaller, younger boy. He was 18 now, but he still didn't look a day over 12. Otabek was standing next to Yuri, no emotion showing on his face. Yuuri sat down on a bench and pulled off his shoes. Viktor sat next to him, as close as he could without invading the other boy's personal space. Without looking up, Yuuri scooted an inch away. Viktor felt his heart drop down to his toes, but he still refused to believe that Yuuri couldn't be reached.

----

Viktor watched from the side as Yuuri practiced his routine. He watched as the younger boy landed all his jumps perfectly. Viktor felt his heart speed up as he watched Yuuri dance. He wasn't even aware of Otabek and Yuri skating towards him. The whole world seemed to blur. There was a spotlight from heaven shining on his soulmate and he was all that Viktor could see.

"Viktor!" Yurio shouted, kicking him in the leg. Viktor, shocked, looked over at him.

"Huh?"

"I've been talking to you for, like, five minutes."

"Oh, sorry Yurio," Viktor said, rubbing his leg.

"The place is closing, but Minako said you guys could stay as long as you want. We're heading home though." Viktor nodded his understanding and Yuri walked away.

"I'll be there in a second," Otabek called to Yurio. The small boy nodded and left. Otabek leaned on the railing next to Viktor.

"Are you two okay?" He asked. Viktor was surprised. Otabek had never really showed interest in anyone but Yurio.

"Huh?"

"I see you watching him. But there's something in your eyes other than love. It's like...it's like your terrified and sad." This was a different person than the Otabek that Viktor knew.

"I'm fine."

"I didn't ask if you were fine," Otabek pushed.

"We're fine, Otabek." Viktor didn't mean to snap at Otabek, but he couldn't help himself. He didn't want other people to see how broken he and his husband really were. Otabek lingered a moment longer before following his boyfriend out of the rink. Viktor sighed again and turned his attention back to Yuri. He found himself falling all over again.
