"I'm sorry. I can't." He said

I couldn't speak. I gave him a sad confused look.

"I just got out of a relationship and this isn't right. I need time." He explained

I wanted to say that I was sorry but no words were coming out of my mouth.
He got up and left me on the floor. I got up and cleaned the mess on the floor.
Then I went to my room.
Great I messed up.
I get that he needs time but why did he make me feel this way.
It was like giving a little kid a teddy bear then taking it away from them.
I touched my lips, I still can't get over the fact that he kissed me.

It was around 5 o'clock and I was too scared to go outside my room. I was scared to bump into Cody.
It would be really awkward.
It was completely silent, until I heard someone talking.
It sounded like Cody's voice, it was no surprise, his room is right next to mine and I doubt that the walls are soundproof.
I listened closely.

"I miss you so much dad. Life has been so hard without you and I miss you so much. Remember when I told you about my girlfriend... well my ex girlfriend. I miss her but there is this other girl she's cute, funny, and she's a total klutz" Cody chuckled
"Her name is..."

Before Cody could say a name my phone rang.
Shit!
I looked around trying to find the phone, then I found it on my bed.
I answered the phone.
"Hello?"

"Hey y/n! It's me Andrea!"

"Hey what's up?"

"I heard you moved into your boss's house."

"How d-did you know?" I stuttered

She chuckled "A little bird told me"

I sighed, "What do you want?"

"Nothing much I just wanted to check in"

"Okay. It's not going so well"

She gasped "What happened?!"

"I k-kissed Cody"

"You what!?" She exclaimed

"I kis-"

She cut me off "I heard you the first time! Wait, if he kissed you, what seems to be the problem?"

"He said he needed time."

Andrea scoffed "Screw that! You should just make out with him"

I rolled my eyes, then suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"I have to go Andrea, I'll talk to you later"

"Bye"

I hung up and opened the door.
Cody was casually standing there.

"H-hey I was planning to go out to the bar... umm wanna come?" he said

"I-I don't think I should-"

"C'mon it'll be fun besides it's kind of our last night together"

"What?! I thought tour started next week?"

"It does but it's kind of a long trip" he explained

"Well... O-okay" I said

"Ok, we'll leave in 30 minutes"

He left as I closed the door to my new bedroom.
What the hell was I going to wear?
I looked around my closet then I found one of my old black dresses. (pic above)
This will do.
I did my hair and makeup and I walked into the living room.
Cody was there, he was wearing a leather jacket and some skinny jeans.
Damn, he looks hot.

"Y-you ready to go?" I asked

He turned around to face me.
"Y-you you look amazing"

I chuckled nervously.
"Thanks"

"Lets go"
He grabbed his car keys and we got inside his car.

The drive there was pretty quiet, until he spoke up.
"Look, about what happened earlier today... I..." he sighed. It looked like he was thinking of what to say
"Can we just pretend that it never happened?"

"Sure" I said

After a few minutes, we came to a stop.
I got off the car and went inside the bar.
The bar was loud and full of people.
Why did I decide to go?
I'm terrible at talking to people.
I sat down and asked the bartender for a glass of water.
He nodded his head and passed me a glass.
I sat there tapping my foot to the beat of the music that was playing in the background.
I was actually having a good time by myself when suddenly a mysterious man sat on the stool next to me.

"What's up beautiful?" he winked

I rolled my eyes and continued to drink my water.

He got closer to me. His breath smelled like alcohol.

"You look great tonight, but you know that dress would look a lot better on my bedroom floor" he slurred

I was fed up with this guy's bullshit, I was about to leave but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards him.

"Let me go!" I protested

"I'm gonna have fun with you" he pulled me even closer.

Suddenly a familiar slurred voice spoke up.
"The girl said no"

I turned around to see Cody pretty drunk.
"Stay away from this pretty girl"

"Dude, I found her first" the other man pushed Cody.
Cody pushed back and the other guy lost his balance and fell to the floor.

"Cody we have to get out of here!" I exclaimed

I grabbed his hand and pushed my way out of the bar and into Cody's car.

"How do you know my name?"

I didn't answer.
"Give me your keys!"

"What keys?"

I rolled my eyes and got the keys from his jacket, then I started the car.

"W-where are we going?"

"Home"

"I feel sick." he said

I drove a little faster.
"Don't worry, we're almost there"

When we got home, Cody threw up on the living room floor.
Shit.
I grabbed the mop and started cleaning up the mess.

I was interpreted by the phone ringing.
I followed the ring into Cody's room.
"Make it stop" he said

I sighed as I picked up the phone.

"Hello."

"Y/n?" It sounded like Zach

"What's up?"

"Where's Cody?" he asked

"He's sitting on his bed, he's pretty drunk"

"We were supposed to meet up at the bar."

"Oh. We were just there, but we were there for an hour"

"That's weird, well when Cody sobers up, tell him to meet us at Dan's house at 9:30 am tomorrow"

"Okay I will, bye"

"Bye"

With that I hung up. That's weird.

"Where's the vodka?" Cody asked while swaying side to side.

"Drinking more alcohol isn't a good idea"

"But it makes you feel good... besides it's only for today" he smiled

This is definitely not a good idea. However, I was feeling kind of down.

"Fine but only one drink"
I knew I would regret this later.
