You and Wesley sat in silence for a few moments, until he spoke up. "Y/N, Deanna is right. You don't seem yourself. Mentally, I mean."

You jumped out of your chair and faced Wesley. "Wes! Please, I know I'm not myself. Just, ugh. Never mind. But, babe, don't worry about me. I'll be just fine."

Wesley raised his eyebrows. "You heard what Deanna said perfectly. Basically, I have to be worried about you, whether you like it or not. I'm sorry, Y/N."

"No, Wes! I don't care about what Deanna said! Now, please, be a good boyfriend and give me a minute! Alone, babe." You yelled.

Not wanting to anger you any further, Wesley strode out of the room.

You sunk down onto the chair once again, and began to weep. Tears came cascading down your face, you couldn't stop them.

"Y/N?" Wesley's voice came through the door. "Are you alright?"

You didn't reply. You wiped your eyes, and rushed to the door. "Wes?"

"Yes, Y/N?" He sounded concerned.

"Open the door. Quick."

The doors swished open. The tears you had been holding back came running. Wesley enveloped you in his arms as you cried into his chest. "I'm sorry, Wes. Sorry I shouted."

Wesley stood back from you. He stared into your eyes.

"It's OK, Y/N."

You looked at each other in silence.

"God I love you." You laughed out loud.

"Ensign Crusher, Miss Riker! Report to Sickbay immediately!"

Your eyes widened and you suddenly remembered. Possibly too hard, you yanked Wesley's hand and charged down the corridor.  "This is either great, or absolutely tragic. I'm going to hope it's the first option," You were hyperventilating.

"As am I!" Wesley was practically being pulled around the Enterprise.

You stumbled into Sickbay, your legs aching. You gasped.

(AN: Sorry this is so short but it adds the tension... and I had major writer's block).
