Rude Awakening

Before the accident

"Lilly you need to put yourself out there! Find your self a boyfriend, have fun, live a little!"
"Jessica you know I'm still sad about the breakup with Jonathan."
Lilly rolled her eyes as her best friend since grade school kept on babbling on about how Lilly needed to go out to clubs with her and get drunk. Lilly never thought getting drunk and partying would be the best idea.
"Come on Lilly! I want to have fun with you! Just this once please?! Maybe you could find another guy ?"
"First of all i'm not going to move on so quickly, i'm not one of those girls Jessica."
"Ok ok I know your not one of those girls but still."
"Second of all I guess we haven't spent a lot of time together... maybe just this once."
"Ooooh yay!! Thank you so much! We never get to do this sort of thing!"
"Remember jess just this once ok?"
"Deal."
After about 2 hours of getting ready to go to the new club (the palace nightclub) Jessica decided her and Lilly looked good enough.

In the car: "Lilly I still think we should get matching tattoos!"
"Absolutely not! My mother would kill me!"
"Who cares? You do only live once..."
"Even if I do only live once I still don't want to get a tattoo. It probably hurts like hell anyways"
"Ok whatever. Let's take a selfie and caption it "Lilly's first time having fun"
"Oh shut up Jessica!"
"Fine"
Jessica pulls out her phone, goes onto Snapchat, lifts her phone up to Lillie's and her face and says "cheese"
Lilly looks up to Jessica's phone and gives the most convincing smile she can. When she looks back to the rode to warn Jessica of any cars she spots a car racing toward them. "CAR!"
Jessica slams on the brakes but it's too late, they have crashed and Jessica is the only survivor.
A car driving past notices the crash and immediately slams on the brakes and calls 911.
1 week later Lillie's celebration of life: "Lilly was my best friend, we did everything together and I will never forget all of the happy moments we have shared. I will miss Lilly dearly, and I am so sorry to everyone, I feel i'm responsible for her death *sobs* I love and miss Lilly but she will forever be in our hearts."
Everyone applauds at Jessica's speech. Jessica slowly walks off the stage while sobbing.
After Lillie's parents and Jessica lit a candle for Lilly, the celebration ended and Jessica drove home in her rental car...
