I think Jake's dead. I've been trying to get a hold of him for the past hour, and he hasn't responded which is unusual. I think what may have happened is that they opened the airlock to end their lives quick. I can't believe it. I understand though why they would do it. Us having to see it all end is worse than being down there when it happens. Jake was really the only friend I had to talk to up here. We weren't similar at all, but we kept each other entertained, and I think that's what mattered most to me. If it weren't for him, I would've hated this boring rock. I think he knew what I was going through, maybe he was going through something just like me. I mean, space is fine and all, but when you're in that darkness for so long, it's draining. He never talked about his personal life with me. Sometimes I wondered what bothered him. I'll never know now though. Goodbye Jake, thanks for being there for me, Best Friend.
