Chapter 14- Lucy’s Trap
*Barbara’s POV*
“C’mon! I’m sure George can go through the night, without you. Please go with me to the party??” I gave her my sad puppy eyes.
“Barbara we’ve been through this a hundred times today. I’ll show up at the party a bit late, I just really can’t let George down tonight” Kylee said while getting ready
“Well… I won’t let you leave” I childishly said grabbing her bag. She gave me a cocky smile and crossed her arms
“Then I’m guessing you don’t want any love coming from me later tonight” She smirked
“No, no, no I take it back of course I want your love” I said engulfing in her scent and picking her up. She chuckled as her feet left the ground.
We walked in silence to the diner hand in hand. When we got there before opening the door, I pulled my girlfriend close to me and planted strong kisses all over her face and finished with her lips. I was about to suggest ditching the di again when George tapped on the glass, making us break apart.
“I’ll see you tonight” she wasn’t asking but I felt the need to reply
“Definitely” She blew me a girly kiss, and I caught it and carried it with me.
When I arrived at the party, I was taken aback by how many people were there. Where there even that many people in our town?? I pressed against people on the dance floor trying to get to the table where I could see Ariel talking to another girl. I looked around for Lucy but found her nowhere in sight.
I poked Ariel from behind and she turned around hugging the other girl goodbye first.
“How are you doing?”
“I’m alright, how’s the party” I asked her. She shrugged and made a ‘so, so’ sign
“How’s Lucy treating you?” I wondered
