The Survivors and The Hunted

Introduction

Caity's POV:

"Have a great day class and remember to do the homework for lesson 6!" My algebra teacher, Mrs. Towe's cheerful voice booms throughout the classroom as we all try to squeeze ourselves through the door to our lockers. It was the last day before spring break and I couldn't wait to see what was planned for the break. I ended up being the last one out and something didn't feel right, but I couldn't place what it was. I scanned the hallway and saw most students at their lockers grabbing their things, while the others were already walking to the buses. I swiftly walked to my locker, did my combination and started getting my things together.

"Hey Cate." I heard a familiar voice call from behind me. I grabbed my bag and put it over my shoulder and turned around. One of my good friends Kat stood parallel from me.

"Hey Kat! How was your day?" I ask her as we started walking towards the exit of the school.

"It was pretty good now that it's over. The one thing that I'm excited about is winning that t-shirt contest for art." She tells me as we zoom in and out of the people. We always like getting on the bus first and dislike how slow people walked, so we always would go around them. I turned to her with wide eyes of excitement.

"That's amazing! I thought your design was flawless." I smile. We reached the huge hallway to the double doors and paused. All of a sudden there was this horrifying shriek that caused a panic. We turned to where it was coming from and saw a man in between the double doors attacking a women.

Tabby's POV

It's my senior year and it's spring break. I breathe in the fresh air as I walk out of the school. My twin brother, Aiden, was staying after school for baseball practice. I was making my way across the parking lot to my car when I hear a piercing scream come from inside the school. I don't even think twice before racing back inside. If my brother was in trouble, then I had to do something. I follow the screaming and stop in my tracks when I see the scene in front of me.
