"Ok, the basic concept of my plan is you will enter this computer with your body and Max's touching it. You will find the laptop he is stuck in and you will lead him back to his body, which is this computer. If all goes well you'll have been in there for about 5 hours. Not too long. Are you ready for this, you lost him so you'll have to find him." Says Jamey briefing him on the mission he will have to do alone.
"Wait, 5 hours? The longest merge known to man is about 3. And you expect at minimum it will take 5!!!" Says Liam shocked at what he would have to do. "But yes, I got him into this mess so I should get him out."
"Good luck, I can pull you out at any time and I'll be watching your every move." Says Jamey smiling but not in a confident way.
And with that Liam set off, he felt a swirling sensation that felt as though he was having his first pint of beer. Then there was nothing. Small numbers began to float past him as he descended through his mind and into the computer itself. He landed with a thud on a platform of digits floating in what resembled space. So, for those of you that don't know the concept of merging this is it. When a human mind merges fully with a device their mind gets sucked from their body and gets put into the computer. You may be wondering why the inside of a computer is floating numbers however the concept is simple. Computers do not have brains like you and I so they make up for this by using binary. Binary is the computer's form of language, how they can translate other languages, as well as it is essentially their own brain but it is just made up of numbers. This is why when a merger goes into a computer their surroundings are just darkness and numbers. This then brings us onto hacking. When a merger is inside a computer and wants to hack they picture the website and the computer takes them to a room. This room has 5 puzzles or enemies in and to either hack or get out of the room you must complete them. If you lose or quit you simply get kicked out of the device.
Liam looked around, familiarising himself to the strange but homely world, as he had grown up hacking. He pictured the data base that he had infiltrated with Max earlier today and watched as numbers once again flew past him, he soon arrived at a crumbling room. The room looked dilapidated, however this was expected as the room represents the device that it is. In this case it was an old Microsoft laptop. He walked through a wooden door that made a slight groan from being moved. He walked and was faced with five other doors each leading to a puzzle or fight. The fun was about to begin. The door he just entered through dispersed into thin air and he stared at the doors. He reached for the first and felt a dropping sensation once again...
