Jack's POV:

I was walking through the halls of Seaford high in my Junior year of high school. I was about to meet up with Jerry, Milton, and Kim to go to  the Dojo for practice but only Kim showed up so far. "Hey Jack" Kim says sneaking up on me. "Oh my god!" I say jumping. "Woah, did I actually scare you?" Kim asks. "Ha! Whaaaaaaaaaat? Scare me? Nooooo" I say with a squeaky tone, trying to cover up the lie. "You're a terrible liar. You did that thing guys do when their lying where they higher their voices. I have finally succeeded in scaring Jack Brewer!" Kim says raising her arms in the air victoriously. "Kim, no one's here to see you... You're talking to an empty crowd" I say as Kim is going on about how much better she is than me. Pfft, like that would ever happen "Listen to me very carefully Jack... I. Am. Better. Than. You!" She says smiling. "Yeah right!" I say rolling my eyes. Kim starts walking towards me. "Woah, Kim... What're you doing?" I ask backing up. "Proving that I am better than you." She says. "Umm, whatever you're doing, stop! You're better than me!" I yell. All of a sudden, Kim opens her mouth and screams. Behind her is Frank, one of the Black Dragons stabbing a knife in Kim's back. "NOOOOOO!!!! KIM!!!!!!!!!" I scream running at Frank. I manage to knock him out. "KIM!" I yell falling on the floor, tears streaming down my face. I pick Kim up in my arms and holding her in my arms. "Jack... Jack before I go, there's something I need to tell you.." Kim says quietly. "Kim..." I say sobbing. "Jack listen to me, there's something about to happen, something bad is about to happen to Milton and you need to protect him at all costs. I may not be here but I will always love you. I love you Jack." Kim says to me. She loves me? In that moment I have no idea what takes over my body, but something urges me to kiss her. I lean down and our lips meet. I pull away. "I love you too Kim." I say quietly, and she's gone. "No! NO! KIM!!! Please Kim! You can't die! I need you! I love you!" I scream into the empty halls of Seaford high. "KIM!" I scream!

"Woah! Dude? You okay?" Jerry asks. I wake up to Jerry, Milton, and Rudy shaking me awake. "What happened?" I ask groggily. "Uhhh, well you fell asleep then all of a sudden you started screaming Kim's name and you kept saying you love her..." Milton says. "Wait, I was dreaming? Kim's alright?" I ask frantically. "Well Kim's on her way over now, when you started screaming her name I called her and said you needed her help." Rudy says. "Thanks Rudy." I say sitting up. Kim walks into the dojo. I get up and run towards her. I wrap my arms around her, "Kim, you're alright, you're alright!" I say. Kim hugs me back. "Of course I'm alright, why wouldn't I be?" She asks letting go. "I had a dream that Frank killed you and then you said Milton was in danger but you didn't specify what type of danger." I say. "Did I say anything else? Did you say anything?" She asks. I look at the guys, they raise their eyebrows at me. "Umm. No, not particularly. Nope, that's about it" I lie. "Okay. Anyway guys, I have some news..." Kim says. "Good news or bad news? Or is it the type of bad news where you trick us into thinking it's bad news, then you say something super awesome!?" Jerry says before being interrupted by Milton. "Jerry!" "Sorry" Jerry says. "It's good news for me, bad news for you." Kim says. "Oh no! That's the worst type! Why Kim, why do you do this?" Jerry says in his typical Jerry way. "The school wants me to be in the battle of the bands since there's only one other band. So that means that I won't be able to practice at the dojo anymore, at least not that often." Kim says. This hits me like a brick, I won't see Kim after school anymore and we barely have any classes together. "Woah" Rudy says sitting down. "I know that I won't be spending as much time at the dojo, but you'll still see me at school." She says. "Hang on, I might have an idea. Kim, do you actually have any band members yet?" I ask. "No, I'm holding auditions tomorrow after school in the cafeteria." She says. "Milton, you play piano right? And Jerry, I've seen you rock drums when we filled in to help Izzy. And I can destroy on a bass guitar!" I say. "Kim, you've got your band" Milton says, we all step forward. "SO.... Whaddya say?" I ask smiling. "I don't know, come to auditions tomorrow, I just want what will help me win." Kim says. "Okay, well we'll be there I guess" I say. Damn for someone who just said that they love me, Kim is being pretty harsh right now. Oh wait, that was in your dreams Jack! "Well if that's all you need, I have to go to a movie with Brett" Kim says. "Who now?" I ask stepping forward. "Brett, my boyfriend... You met him" Kim says. Is this girl trying to kill me?! "What movie?" Rudy asks. "It's a Jackie Chan movie." Kim says. "OH! Dude, I wanted to see that! Guys we should go with her!" Jerry lies. I know Jerry has no interest in this movie at all. It's nice that he's doing this for me though. "Jerry, she's going on a date, we can't disturb that" Milton says. I shoot a glare at Milton. "On the other hand, there's nothing to stop us from going by ourselves." Milton says. "Whatever guys" Kim says and walks out of the dojo. "Dude, we gotta go now!" I say. we run to the movie theatre in the mall. We get in line behind Kim and Brett. "Oh, hey Kim. Who's this?" Rudy asks. "My boyfriend, Brett." She says through gritted teeth. We get our tickets and go inside. Me and the boys sit in the top row. "Uhhh, Brett, lets sit down here" Kim says, glaring at us. "Why don't we sit with your friends?" Brett asks. "Because I said so, and isn't this supposed to a be date?" She asks as they walk past us. She puts emphasis on the word 'Date' I don't know what I did, why does she hate me all of a sudden. The movie begins. About ten minutes in I look away from the screen, Jerry is already asleep, Rudy is hitting on the girl sitting next to him, and Milton is doing homework. How does he even see in this light. I look down four rows and notice Kim holding Brett's hand, then she looks up at me. Why is she doing this? "Milt, I'm gonna go outside for a few minutes, can you keep an eye on Kim for me?" I ask. "Sure. Hey Jack? You alright?" He asks. "I think so." I get up and as I'm about to leave the movie theatre, Jerry wakes up and follows me. "Woah, dude, you don't look to good" Jerry says. "I can't possibly imagine why, it's not like the girl I like is sitting four rows in front of us holding hands with her boyfriend" I say sarcastically, gritting my teeth on the words boyfriend. "Dude, you need to tell her how you feel! If you don't like her going out with Brett, tell her." Jerry says. "I just don't want her to get hurt, and the thought of her going out with someone else is too painful." I say. "Then tell her. I never would have gotten to where I am with Mika if I didn't tell her." Jerry says. "Thanks man." I say. We walk back into the movie. "Milton what'd I miss?" I ask sitting down. "Well Jackie took out some bad guys-" I interrupt him. "Not in the movie! With Kim!" I say in a whispered yell. "Ohhh. Well she put her head on his shoulder, then he wrapped his arms around her." Milton says. "Thats enough."

About an hour and a half later, the movie's over. "How'd you like the movie?" Brett asked me. I don't know why he was being nice to me, he's one of my rivals. "You know, It wasn't one of my favorites. What about you?" I ask. "Oh it was great, of course I didn't really pay attention to the movie, I was paying more attention to my girlfriend, Kim" He says. Then he leans closer and whispers "She could have been yours if you had the guts to ask her before I did" That was it. I tried to throw myself at him but Jerry and Milton held me back. Brett tries to throw a punch at me. "You probably shouldn't have done that" I say catching his punch. I twist his arm around backwards and throw him on the floor. "Jack!" Kim yells. She helps Brett up and together they walk out of the theatre. "Well done Jack, well done." I mutter to myself.
