Present Day

Katherine and I had received word that there was another Katherine look alike in Mystic Falls, with Damon and Stefan.

We watched the three of them walk into a restaurant of some sort. It was weird coming back here. It was different, modern, obviously.

This doppelganger really did look like my best friend, but more.... Dull. I could tell, both the Salvatore's liked this girl.

"I need to hand her over to Klaus for our freedom." Katherine smirked.

"Good, it has been too long, running from this so called monster. You know, I have never laid eyes on this man." I told Katherine. She shrugged and strutted into the 'Mystic Grill'.

I am happy to inform you that the fashion has become sensible, and comfortable. Katherine and I had adapted together, and we shared a lot of the same clothes (AN, think of Katherine's clothing style in the show is the same as Victoria's).

I wore a singlet, but my leather jacket that was zipped up and close to my body, so the singlet was hidden. I wore my ripped, black skinny jeans and high heeled ankle boots. My hair was in loose curls that fell down my back, right to the middle of my butt.

Katherine had changed, she had adapted to the American ways of speaking. I, however, remained with my English accent and more sophisticated way of speaking.

I sighed and followed Katherine into the bar, where the doppelganger, and the Salvatore's sat at a table. Katherine and I smirked at each other, as I eyed the look alike of my best friend evilly.

I sat at the bar, ordering a drink to go with the show. The Salvatore's will surely recognise Katherine, as she had the distinctive curly hair and the much prettier, much snarkier face than the doppelganger.

They would be less likely to remember me, as I never interacted with them much.

Katherine pulled up a chair and plopped into it, swinging her feet onto the table and snatching up Damon's alcohol.

"Umm, who are you?" The doppelganger stared at Katherine, her face was stunned at the fact they look identical.

"Katherine?" Stefan whispered, frowning. Damon had the same expression, except he was speechless. I chuckled slightly at this, they did love her.

"That is Katherine? You said she died in 1864!" The doppelganger yelled loudly. Clearly the close guarded secret of vampirism isn't a sensitive subject in this town.

"Elena." Damon warned sharply. "Quieten down."

"Well, I've missed you boys, but I just need....." Katherine stared at 'Elena' like she was trying to remember something. "......What's your name, again?"

Katherine knew full well her name was Elena, but she was trying to be rude. I giggled as I sipped my drink.

As I giggled, Damon looked over at me, his expression told me that he was trying to remember where he had seen me.

"It's Elena."

"Yes, well. Come with me, I have a friend who would love to meet you." Katherine snatched her arm and stood her up.

Stefan and Damon shot out of their chairs, ready to protect Elena.

"Oh please, you wouldn't kill me." Katherine rolled her eyes and giggled. Stefan pulled Elena closer to him protectively. She nodded at me to start leaving, so I dropped down my glass and walked out.

She followed me shortly after I left and we both stood back where we were originally.

"They won't leave her alone now that they know I'm here." She smiled, picking at her nail.
