I looked ahead and saw you.
You looked so beautiful, tall,
and proud of me.
You flashed that bedimpled smile,
and i think of all the times
your grin managed to sweep
all my troubles away.
I took another step, careful not to trip.
I winked at you, and you laughed.
Suddenly I'm reminded how
the sound of your voice
calms my nerves, and
makes everything okay.
You reached for me as I came near.
And i saw your face up close,
now even more convinced that
you are my angel.
With you, I am myself,

You are my rock,
my person,
and my
best friend.
So I hugged you tight,
and saw a tear fell from your eyes,
but you smiled right back,
and squeezed my hand,
before i take another man's hand.
Was it sadness or regret I saw?
I guess I'll never know.
I love you, I always do.
And maybe, you love me too.
If only that love is bigger
than our fears and doubts...
I guess we'll never find out.
A part of me is forever yours,
Even if our lives took
a different course.
You will always be the

Even if I become
