You don't know where you are.
This thought occurrs to you very suddenly, and you check your surroundings, trying to at least get a feel for this place. There has to be some sort of clue about your whereabouts--
But there isn't. It's all forest. Just miles and miles of trees and nature, and it only makes the confusion worse, because there aren't any forests nearby where you live. Don't panic.
Dont.
Panic.
...Out of no where, a loud, metallic whirring starts. You move to look for the source of the noise, when a bright, almost blinding light shines from behind you, and when you turn, it's evident that the light and noise are both coming from...
A spaceship.
They're both coming from what can only be described as a spaceship, and, although somewhat foggy, you can clearly see that it's being piloted by a small, green alien, with big, pink bug eyes. Okay, now you can panic.
He smiles.
And waves.
You don't know where you are.
Beep.
You don't know how you got here, why you're suddenly in the middle of the woods, or why there's a spaceship this far out in the wilderness.
Beep.
You don't know who this alien is, or why he's smiling and waving like he's known you forever.
BEEP.
You don't know why you're so incredibly compelled to smile and wave back.
------
...Ugh.
You finally came to, slowly, and distantly felt your hand raised in midair. Mid-wave.
You groaned, and flopped over on your side, before slapping a hand on your digital alarm clock. God, so that's what that beeping was.
Sitting up, you mulled on your dream for a moment. The seventh time this month. The most realistic it's ever been.
You rubbed your temples with your palms, in silent frustration. You had no idea where this dream was coming from, or who this alien was, or why it was so realistic, but most of all...
You had no idea why it made you so sad.
It wasn't a sad dream; not in the slightest. If anything, you would think that you should be happy when you wake up from it. Just like the little, unknown alien was, when he waved and flew away.
But you aren't. In fact, when you first had the strange dream, you had woken up with tearstains on your cheeks. And you still have no clue as to why.
You never received any answers when it came to this dream. If anything, you always woke up with more questions than before.
A text from your friend abruptly startled you out of your muddled thoughts.
Abby:
Yo, did you you over sleep or smth?
You texted back, confused.
XXXXX:
School starts at 8, what are you talking about dude
Abby:
Oh my god please tell me you're joking
You raised an eyebrow at the text.
XXXXX:
???
Within minutes, you received your angry reply.
Abby:
Dude. We were supposed to meet up today at 7:30
