Back In The Light

Chapter { 1 } THE PLANET

It all started with the bomb. Every vampire on earth was destroyed but all the Tellers on earth was blasted all over the universe.

For some reason, I was blasted to Neptune, not far, but far enough that I can't get to earth. I'm stuck on this planet with no inhabitants. Neptune is just ice, well fourteen feet of ice and with water that I could cut through but It might take awhile due to the temperature.

The lack of sun on this planet doesn't help, either.

Every single time the sun comes out, it's so little I can't get enough light to get back to earth. This icy planet gives me a bad vibe. When I turn my back, I swear, I can feel something breathing down my neck. I can't shake the feeling that I'm not alone on this miserable planet.

Using the debris, I made solar panels that could gain all the sunlight that I can use to Light-Jump back home. In the meantime, I'm building a house out of solid ice. Each and every night I climb on top of the house and I look at Earth.

For some reason, there are very big explosive blasts on the Earth's atmosphere. It's almost like the Vampires were attacking again. Then I remembered that I put a Light shield over Earth and the remaining Vampires are dead. So who's making explosions on Earth? Then I realized that those were Light explosions. Why would there be a Teller attack on the shield?

I wonder this every time I look out at night. And I still haven't found a answer.

There was one time I had enough power to get off this cold planet, but once I got into the air something pulled me right back down. One I reach med the icy land, I felt drained. I then realize that my Light has been drained. I couldn't find a reason why this would be happening.

Then it doesn't help that I'm getting visions everywhere. it's like I someone or something is trying to here is trying to connect mentally to me.

I couldn't find an explanation for that either.

A couple days pass, and I'm outside my hut, where I found human footprints at my front door. I follow them to a mysterious ice cave. When I look around there are carvings of what appears to be me fighting Vampires on the wall. I run my fingers across them, wondering if I still had my sanity.

So many unanswered questions ate really messing with my head now. Truly this isn't real. It's all in my head. Neptune has gotten me now.

I sense a figure sneak up behind me I turn around quickly to pin the figure against the wall.

In a raspy voice, he speaks my full name. "Max Grayson." He has a hood over his face but he sounds vaguely familiar.

I pushed against him with all my might. Neptune had weakened me greatly but my strength prevails.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" I say harshly. When he doesn't answer me, I tightened my hold around his neck, lifting him up higher on the wall.

"Who are you?!" I see his lips form a smile as he says two words that shouldn't be real.

"Your brother."
