I couldn't do it.

I couldn't say yes.

We broke up because of the distance we would be from each other. Why should we jump back in while we are still seas apart? It just wouldn't make sense.

Sometimes, I wish things were different. I wish I could travel with him and live out his dream by his side.

At the same time, I'm happy. I'm am working towards my dream and finishing up school.

The stress of relationships topping my everything else. I don't know if I'd be able to take it.

I haven't been able to not think about Luke in so long. Even being separated, he consumes my thoughts.

Sometimes, I think of him with love. I think about us together and my favorite things about him. Other times I think about how much I miss him. I think about the things I've done wrong in our relationship. Suddenly, the choices we've made don't seem good enough.

The thoughts constantly cloud my mind and cause me anxiety.

My phone rings echoing through my room.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Luke."

"Yea, I have caller i.d."

"Right. Well, there's a slight problem with you coming here."

"Okay. What is it?"

"Have you watched the news? We've had this horrible snow storm taking over the whole United Kingdom."

"Really?"

"Why would I lie, Leanne?"

"Don't get snippy."

"Sorry. Should we Skype or?"

"Sure."

I hang up the phone and walk to my laptop.

Soon enough Luke's face covers my screen.

"Hey Lee. I only have a couple minutes. Sorry. How are things there?" He scratches his face.

"Pretty good, I guess. How's London?"

"Good. We're writing and recording right now." Luke turns around then faces me again.

"That's great! How's the songs?"

"Good." He turns around for the third time and scratches his back. "I'm sorry, I need to go. Bye Lee. Let's talk later."

The screen turns black.

What was that about?
