I was on the bench silently crying. I cant believe this is my life. I'm homeless, alone and broke. Me, the Alphas daughter. Who would have thought. I had just called my mom for more money.
"Mom."
"Misty sweetie is that you?"
"Yes mom." I had been on the streets for 2 weeks now and just scrambled up enough change to call home.
"Mom." I cried. "My money is gone and no one will hire me." I was standing at the phone booth on the corner. Some people gave me pitying looks while some looked disgusted. My nose was running and I was crying like a child.
"Where are you staying?"
"On the streets." I whispered.
"What?" My mom yelled. "My poor baby!"
"I wish that I could send you something but your dad has a guard around me 24-7. If I send you something they'll know where u are. Honey just come home, please. We will figure something out." She pleaded.
"No mom I cant. Do you know how scared I was?"
Flashback
"Misty go change. You will not meet your future husband in jeans."
"Yes father."
I don't see what the big deal was, its just a dinner. But being the Alphas daughter I've always had to be perfect. I went to my closet and found a sky blue dress and black flats. This should do it. I brushed my hair and put on lip gloss before going back downstairs.
"That's better." My dad said before going to his office.
"Honey you look great."
"Thanks mom."
The door bell rung and I jumped.
"That should be them. Don't look so nervous Misty, everything will be fine." My mom smiled.
"Don't embarrass me young lady, tonight is very important."
We walked to the front and my dad opened the door. "Alpha Danny." My dad greeted.
"Alpha Grey. You remember my wife Mandy and my daughter Misty."
"Nice to see you again Mandy. And Misty! Wow you've grown, I haven't seen you since you were 10."
"Hi Alpha Danny."
"This is my mate Lana and my son Jason."
"Nice to meet you." I said.
Wow he was handsome, tall and muscular like all Alphas. He had dark blonde hair and chocolate eyes. He smiled when he caught me checking him out. I blushed and looked at the floor, that was embarrassing. I haven't been around many guys, my dad wouldn't allow it.
"Lets go eat shall we." My mom said in her cheery voice.
My dad sat at his usual seat at the end of the table, my mom at the other. Jason parents sat together while he sat beside me. We started eating dinner. I didn't talk a lot I never do. After desert we went into the living room.
"Can I speak with Misty alone?" Jason asked politely.
"Sure. Misty you two go to your room, we have things to discuss anyway. And no funny business you're not mated yet."
My cheeks lit up and everyone laughed. My dad doesn't care what he says out of his mouth. I sat on my bed and he sat my desk.
"So what did you want to talk about?"
