"Mom!" I yell as I ride the railing of my stair case down to the floor below.
"No yelling" My mom hisses as I rush into the kitchen, "Your sister is sleeping"
"So was I, last night, and she never shut up"
The toast pops and I take them from the toaster. "She's 7 months old, Jean. You're 15. You've learned the art of shutting up. You should do it every once and a while"
"Oh!" I say dramatically. I pretend to trip backwards a bit, "It hurts mom. It hurts right here" I rest my hand over my heart and take a bite of my toast, "See ya later"
"Breakfast?"
I shake my head, "I woke up late. So I gotta go pick up Ryan. You know he flips when I'm late" I shove the bread into the mouth and pick up my backpack that sat next to the door before I headed down the street, towards Ryan's house.
I check the time on my watch, "Damnit" I curse a bit under my breath. It was already 6:50. I shove my phone back in my pocket and start sprinting down the sidewalk as fast as I can.
"You're late" He scowls from the side walk.
"Shut up Ryan" I say, nearly out of breath. I pant hard and try to stand up straight, "Let's just go"
He rolls his eyes and we begin towards the bus stop. We barely made it and rushed into the bus as quickly as possible, taking our seat in the same seat as every other day, way in the back.
