Can there ever be any judge as just as our Noble Prophet?" he shook his head in reply

"Another important thing to do is to give litigants the right to fair hearing. When Ali was appointed to serve as a Judge in Yemen, he said to the Prophet "O Messenger of Allah, you are appointing me as a judge when I'm young in age and have no knowledge of judgeship" The Prophet replied "verily, Allah will give guidance to your heart and make your tongue firm. When two persons come to you for settlement of cases, do not pass judgement in favour of the first until you hear the argument of the other party because that is necessary, for the decision to become clearer to you" Ali was later reported saying "I have afterwards never entertained any doubt in passing a decision"

All these said Sameer, I think you are good to go. Best of luck"

"Thank you my friend and brother"

I shrugged and decided to tease him instead "But come to think of it Sameer, how will they appoint you a Judge when you're still single? You better get married soon kafin kayi kwantai. In fact I'm on mission-get-khadi Sameer-a-wife" I dodged a punch on time before it landed
"la la la, a whole Khadi is fighting in public." I teased further

"A Khadi and an Emir" he fired back

"I'm not an Emir ye..."

"Will be in a matter of four days" he grinned and we both burst out laughing

"Now on a serious note, when are you getting married? It should be soon, so you stop eating up all of Goggo's food"

"Leave me alone hai, that special person seems so hard to attain" he replied with a distant look in his eyes

"Would you like to share?" I asked

"Not in your wildest dreams will I" he stood up to leave

"Wait for me now, you will follow me to see Khairi today won't you?" I got up to follow him too

"You want me to follow you, how can you drag a Khadi to a date" he formed mock seriousness

"Sannu Mallam khadi, when your time comes, who will do all the dates going for you? Better follow me and learn how things are being done" I winked at him while he threw his head back and laughed

"So what you're trying to tell me is that you're learned in that department right, what time are we going?"

"Now you're talking. After Isha prayers "

"Okay. After Isha Salah it is"

Jabir (RAA) narrated that the Messenger Of Allah (SAW) said, "If one of you proposes to a woman, and he can see from her what may entice him to marry her, he should do so."

I slipped in the little box containing a bracelet in it. I had bought it in an open market back in Madina, the bracelet captured my attention so much at that time that I had to buy it, with the intention of gifting it to the woman whom I will marry. At that time I definitely had no one in mind, just the fact that it will be a gift to my future wife. At the time I wanted to give Batuul an Eid presents, I contemplated giving it to her, not because I envisaged a day like this or I had any hope whatsoever left, for some unknown reasons I just decided to keep it for a little while longer.

I strode along with Sameer to Mama's apartment, where Khairi has been since we came back. Baba sitting on the veranda with Mama, enjoying the late evening cool breeze, we both knelt down and greeted them even though Baba insisted that he won't have a Khadi and a King kneel for him.
"So to what do we owe this August visit?" Baba asked teasingly while I nudged Sameer to answer
