Firni


Firni is a indian and pakistani favourite desert which have many variations to it but the base being rice , milk and sugar.Its a rich creamy rice custard which is often enjoyed  in parties and weddings as a common desert .It even has fruity variations to it.





INGREDIENTS

Milk  2cups

Rice flour 2 tablespoons

Sugar 2 tablespoons

Cardamom powder a pinch

Almond powder 1 tablespoon

Condensed milk (if desired according to liking)

Nuts chopped for garnishing


METHOD


Boil milk saving half cup of milk.

Mix rice flour and almond powder in the half cup cold milk to avoid lumps.

Add in this mix to the boiling milk.

Add in sugar ,condensed milk,cardamom powder and keep stirring if not it will stick to the bottom and burn.

Simmer it and let it cook until it starts to thicken.

Remove it off flame once it starts thickening.

Remove in serving bowls and top with nuts of preference and chill before serving.

Fruit pulps can also b added for variations in flavours and for atwist in taste for the regular firni.
