Adian's POV
I was standing there holding a gun to Chase's head.
"Tell me why Chase, why did you help kill my father?"
"For the money." He said, "he offered me 25,000 dollars." He paused but then continued, "you and I both know I needed the money for my mom."
I just can't believe it. Chase is the only person I could trust in this world. Yet, to know that he did this to me makes me so angry; so betrayed.
So I held the gun tighter as the rain skidded against my face. "I'm going to really miss you Chase." and I pulled the trigger.
I awaken breathing deeply, shivering as I realized I left my window open. I glanced at the clock, It's 12 am. I sit in my bed for a while, thinking about what I just dreamed about.
Its been three years since that night. Its been three years with guilt consuming my heart every second of every day. It's been three years since I've killed my best friend.

Ria's POV
Fighting. One little word that has a powerful meaning. A word that can destroy a little girls dreams, and childhood.
A word that can tear a family apart in a minute. A word that can hurt everyone around you. A word that I have to endure every night.
Its about 12 am. and my parents are yelling at each other, just like every night. Then I hear silence. Good maybe their done. Then...
*SMACK*
My dad leaves slamming the door, as my mom would never dare to leave. I run down stairs to see if she's okay, but only to run down and find my mom hunched over crying on the floor. I run and kneel at her side.
"Mom are you okay?" I ask, "did he hit you?" I whisper. Yet its obvious he did.
"GET AWAY FROM ME, LEAVE ME ALONE!" She yelled at me but I don't understand. I was only trying to help, but I ran up to my room anyway.
And just looked at the stars like I do every night. I try and tell her to leave him but she never listens. My Father has her wrapped around his fingers.
I remember when my mom was the sweetest woman in the world. Like every time when I was a little I was always afraid of thunderstorms. (I still am) At the strike of thunder I would run into her room yelling for help.
She would wrap me in her arms no matter how sleepy she was and say "Shhhhh Bubba, everything is going to be okay." Then she would stroke my hair, rub circles on my back, and sing me a song till I fell asleep.
Oh how I miss those days. But something breaks me out of my thoughts, a door opens then slams close. Oh god, he's back home. I better get out of here before the yelling starts.
I slid out my window, and start walking to the only place I can hide from my demons, the Library.
