Trial And Error

chapter 1

Brooky's POV

"Mom I'm off to school." I said in a exciting tone because today's was the first day of my senior year and I was just loving life.

"OK sweetie, have a good first day." My mom said kindly.

"Yep have a good day skip." My dad said while coming up behind me and putting his hand on my shoulder. "Say hi to Lacy and Jay for me." He then added. Lacy McCollin is my best friend and she has been ever since the 5th grade and Jay is my boyfriend of 2 years.

"Yep sure thing dad. Bye, I love you guys AND BYE SAMANTHA AND JORDAN" I said to my brother and sister who were getting ready for their first day of middle school.

"BYE" I heard them shout back.

I left the house and got into my brand new car that I had gotten that summer as a birthday gift.

I have arrived at school and suddenly everyone is gathering around me asking how my summer was and that Chad was throwing a really big party and they wanted me to come.

I'm not to big on parties because usually every party I go to there is alcohol. I don't drink.

But anyways I said I would go just because I was feeling it.

Then all of the sudden my quaterback football player came up from behind me and picked me up and twirled me around making me squeal.

"Ahhh, Jay put me down" I say while giggling. He then put me down and gave me a kiss full of passion and love. I haven't seen Jay all summer because he was in New York with his sick grandmother spending her last few months with him. "How is your grandmother anyway?" I ask after we break the kiss.

"She died and we had her funeral." He says starting to tear up.

"Aww baby I'm so sorry to hear that, is there anything I can do?"

He just shakes his head no.

All I can do now is give him all my love and support. The bell for first hour rings and we go our separate ways to class.

Today was very long but I managed.
I am heading home right now but first I have to up my little brother, Jordan, because he threw up after his friends told him to chug sour milk during lunch. Jordan gets in the car and as soon as he does I smack him upside the head for being so stupid. All of the sudden he starts to look nauseous and is about to throw up.

"That way!" I exclaim, pointing to the car door so he can puke outside and not on me. He opens the door and hurls the contents in his stomach out. When he is done puking, he closes the door and I drive off.

"Thanks for picking me up sis." He says still looking quessy due to his motion sickness.

"Don't worry about it but next time don't be so fucking stupid. Okay?" I ask him seriously.

He just nods back.

I am getting ready for the party that's at Chad's house. I have on a black flow dress that goes down to my knees.once I'm done applying my make-up I say goodbye to my family and head out.

Once I get to the party, my nose is instantly met with the smell of acahol. I go on a search to find my best friend Lucy and after a minute or two I finally found her doing body shots. When she sees me, she grabs my arm and pulls me over to the acahol and tells me to drink up.

"Lucy you already know this. I. Do. Not. Drink." I have to say slowly for her but loud enough for her to hear me over the music playing. Jay isn't hear because his mom wouldn't let him because she suspected there would be alcohol here and my senses say that she's right.

"Aww come on, just a little." She says. After her pestering me for awhile I finally give in to shut her up. I take a shot of liquor and it instantly burns my throat.

"See, that wasn't so bad, was it?" Lacy says to me before taking another shot of her own.

I decided I needed to let loose and since the alcohol isn't that bad, I decided to down several more shots. The liquor gave me courage, courage I didn't have while sober, so I headed out onto the dance floor. I started swaying my hips to the beat and grinding on Lacy who joined me out on the floor.

It was like nirvana. There was nothing else in the world but the sound of my blood rushing through my body as it danced to the music. Nothing could top this moment.

Then everything went to shit.
