EXTENDED SUMMARY
Ira Camille had it all.
She had fame, success, millions of fans, money, awards, beauty and talent at her disposal. Her life is perfect. She is adored by many, envied by thousands and loved by millions. She had a boyfriend who topped the Billboard Charts, a girl squad that dominated the top pages of social media and grace every cover of every relevant magazine and a life everybody wanted in the angel city of fortune and fame.
Everything seemed good and everything seemed fine.
So why did she kill herself?
AUTHOR'S NOTE
quite a serious story documenting the dark side of fame, similar to films of Birdman, The Neon Demon, Whiplash, et cetera. I've always felt as if the world today is full of idolising celebrities and glorifying their lifestyle, as if the lifestyle of designer clothes, going out every night, champagne and jewellery, fame and fortune is something they want and something a lot of people are willing to sacrifice for [that infamous casting couch story]. And there have been many attempts in order to dissect the theme of fame and the idea of idolising and glorifying someone that we consider them as gods or someone who is better than us even though they are just like us and they aren't any different from the average joe.
This is quite an adult story and it is my first one because my stories before features quite a lot of teenagers and discuss a lot of adolescent issues [not that suicide isn't an adolescent issue] but this story is quite serious, looking at fame, drugs, idolatry, indifference, narcissism and all that good stuff.
What I'm trying to say is, please take this more seriously than you take my other stories and judge it with a more critical eye. :)
2020 FORWARD
Most of the original content will stay the same. There will be modifications and rewrites included; mostly because there are some aspects of the plot that I wasn't really happy with. I think most of my writer's block was that I started this story three years ago, at a younger more naive pace of life. I'm writing this with newer, more mature eyes and in order to write the last segment of the book, I believe that I needed to rewrite it so the last segment will make complete sense. There will be new versions of the aesthetics, casts, an updated playlist, so on and so forth.
Hope you stick around for Saint Pablo 2.0!
WARNING
Drug use, alcoholism, suicide, mental illness and sexual assault are massive topics within this story so trigger warnings.
The perspectives of the characters I'm writing from are HORRIBLE, SELFISH AND VAIN people so bear with them and realize that people like them exist but they are also human as well and they are usually made that way. <3
