"She saved us from the invaders, but at a terrible price."
"What happened, Elder?"
"Well...
"As the barrier went up, she suffered a terrible price. Her eyes fell out as she screamed, and melted into one eyed snakes. Her hand clawed at her face, strips of skin pealed off and transformed into worms that tunneled into the earth. But, a few fused together and became leeches to suck at a humans life force. Her nails fell off and expand to form poisonous scorpions. Still she scratched and clawed at her flesh. Her hair pulled away at the roots and melted together in the form of a vampire bat. Her toenails wretched from the bed and formed spiders. She collapsed to her knees her feet pulled themselves from her body and turned into small human like creatures that hissed then ran into the forest.
"Her muscle turned into mush and melted into the already grassless floor. They watched in horror as the floor of the forest started to rot and any plant within a mile seemed to twist then exploded into nothingness. Her bones shattered into beetles, still having blood on then, with red stripes. Then her chest pulled into two pieces, one forming a wolf the other an eagle. Her heart became a giant poisoness toad.
"Then, her arms dissolved into locust, and her voice-"
"What, Elder?"
The old woman took a large breathe, but continues.
"Her voice, it ripped out of her mutilated throat. It transformed into a nasty vulture, a scared throat with ratty feathers. Her soul was lifted and put into the vulture, the vulture that forever cries. On new moons you can hear human in the cry. While in oppose to a new moon, on a full moon all you can hear is a beast...
"A beast in, agony."
