"Jess hurry up!" My mom yelled from the living room.

"Coming!" I said putting on my backpack and jogging downstairs.

"Finally. What was taking you so long?" She said opening the front door.

"Sorry." I said giving her an innocent smile. She rolled her eyes playfully smiling. She opened the car doors and I got into the passenger seat. She got into the driver seat and started up the car.

"When is my class ending?" I asked. "It lasts 2 hours. It starts at  3:30 so I will pick you up at 5:30." She said and I nodded.

Let me tell you what are we talking about. I was going to a music theatre school for 6 years of my life now where I was taking music and acting classes. But my old school closed last week so now I'm going to a new one.

It was not far away from our house so I could actually walk to school but my mom had some work to do so she told me she'll drop me off.

We pulled at the front of the school. "Okay honey I'll pick you up 2 hours later." "Okay, bye mom." I said giving a peck on her cheek and opened the car door. I got out of the car waving at her and shutting the door. When I got in, there was a blonde woman standing behind a desk.

"Hello, what can I help you with?" She said giving me a smile.

I returned the gesture. "Hi, I'm new here. Do you know where the music and acting classes are held?" She nodded typing something on her computer.

"What's your name?" She said looking up at me.

"Jessica McAdams,"

She looked at her computer and said "Your classroom is number 114. It's upstairs, the second door on the right."

"Okay, thank you." I said smiling at her. She smiled back and I started to head upstairs. When I was there I looked to my right and saw a door with a sign that said "114"

I took a deep breath, knocked two times and got in. Immediately all eyes were on me. I started to feel uncomfortable. I hate when I am in the center of attention.

"Hello." I said. "Hi, are you the new girl?" a woman said whom I guessed was my teacher. She had black hair going above her shoulder, plump pink lips and dark brown eyes. She was a little shorter than me and was wearing a black dress with low heels. She looked like she was in her fifties. To be honest she looked pretty nice.

"Jessica McAdams, right?"

"Yes that's me." I said giving her a small smile.

"You can call me Mrs. Blackwood. Now take a seat." She said smiling. I nodded and looked around the class. I noticed a free seat in the back of the class and started making my way to my seat. Everyone's eyes were on me but one caught my attention. He had brown fluffy hair, brown eyes and a perfect jawline. He smiled at me and I gave him a small smile myself.

When I sat down the teacher started talking. I got my notebook and pencil case from my backpack to write down some notes. I was listening to the lesson until I felt someone's eyes on me. I looked around the class and met with the same brown eyes again. He immediately looked away and started pretending like he was listening to our teacher. I laughed a little under my breath, shaking my head. The class went on and on when our teacher said "Okay class we are done with our lesson but we will have party 1 week later. The whole school will be there. I will pair you up with someone and you'll need to sing one song together. You can choose the song. Does anyone have any questions?" she asked looking around the class. One girl raised her hand. "Yes Elizabeth?" the teacher said. "Can we choose our partner?" "No, I will choose who your partner will be." Everyone groaned in class and rolled their eyes. "Okay, okay now let's start." Our teacher said totally annoyed by everyone.

"Lilith and Maya,
Josh and Elizabeth,
Robert and Angelina,
Rachel and Olivia,
Violet and George,
Sam and Nicole,
Nick and Andrea,"
Then there were only me and 3 others.

"Jessica you will be..." she trailed of thinking.

"I will pair up with her," the brown haired boy suddenly said standing up. I looked at him confused and when I tried to say something my teacher cut me off.

"Okay, Shawn."
