║Chapter 42║

''I don't trust him.'' He then muttered as I licked my lips sinking back into the chair. Still?

''He brought her here?'' I scrunched up my face in annoyance as Stiles and Scott stared towards me. ''Are you coming in or what?'' Stiles questioned as I shook my head. ''No.''

''What? Why Liam's inside-''
''I don't care about Liam, please. I just need to stay here.'' I felt myself becoming worked up as they stared towards me. ''Go.'' I then repeated, the two of them awkwardly closing the doors behind them and walking into Scott's house. Scott and Stiles began chatting to each other, turning back to face me so I curiously listened into their conversation.

''Whats wrong with her?''  Stiles questioned. ''I mean- apart from Hayden and all- why doesn't she want to go inside?''

''I have no idea Stiles. We just need to make sure it's not something more serious.'' Scott responded. ''Serious?  Scott she's a sixteen year old girl what can be more serious than a girl stealing her boyfriend..''
''I don't know. But we can just try and get Liam to go talk to her.'' Scott breathed out. No, no, no. That was the last thing I wanted. I hated Liam at the moment.

Once they went back inside I couldn't help but let a few tears slip. I felt like screaming that he's not my boyfriend anymore into their faces. It broke my heart yet angered me at the same time to know Liam was in there with Hayden.

A few minutes passed and Stiles came running forwards. ''What is it?'' I questioned his shocked face. ''Definatly a chimera.''
''For sure?''

''For sure.'' He nodded.

''Oh great.'' I exhaled out of annoyance.

Stiles headed back to the vets clinic to put up a camera outside of the clinic to see who was actually stealing the bodies, because he had come to a conclusion that the person taking them probably wouldn't come whilst somebody was on guard.

As for the rest of us, we were going to the school to 'protect' Hayden and possibly catch a Dread doctor.

We were all kind of sat around, my eyes landed on Liam and Hayden who was asleep on his shoulder, ripping my eyes away immediatly I felt my eyes well up with tears, pain and jealousy hitting me.

''Is everything alright?'' Scott quietly spoke as my eyes flickered up to him before back to my hands. ''I mean I know you two kind of..''
''Broke up.'' I nodded, wiping a fallen tear. Scott's face fell as he rubbed my back. ''I'm sorry.'' He quietly spoke. ''It's fine.'' I was quick to respond.

''You d-''
''Hey Scott.'' Liam called out causing me to tense up and carry on staring towards my shoes. ''What are these for?'' He lifted up a chain as I turned away again. ''They're so catch a dread doctor.'' Scott responded, both him and Lydia explaining to an angry looking Liam.

''So that makes Hayden the bait.'' He spoke defensively as I rolled my eyes. Since when has he cared about her that much? ''How is that fair? She can't even control herself yet-''

''We brought her to the school to protect her, remember?'' Lydia responded towards an angry Liam. ''That still makes her bait.'' He argued back. Every word he was saying was making my chest tighten a little more. He was acting like he wanted to protect her at all costs. I guess that's kind of what he feels though- I mean especially after he chose her over is girlfriend after all.

''No one is bait.'' Scott cleared up from besides me, ''but we can't bodyguard everyone every night.''

''Shouldn't you be doing something more? Something better than hiding in a school?'' Liam snapped as I felt anger bubbling inside of me. ''Have you got a better idea?'' I sassed back up to him as he looked taken back, opening his mouth to respond but Scott spoke up. ''The dread doctors are aready winning us- we don't know a thing about them yet, it wouldn't be safe to do anything else.''
''Well what happens if the jammers don't work, or if you have another asthma attack?'' Liam stepped coser.

''I don't know!'' Scott exclaimed becoming a little annoyed, I'm not surprised, Liam was being so stupid over this full Hayden situation. I was so tempted to walk out of this room right now if there wasn't a killing psycho masked man possibly outside.

''This plan sucks.'' Liam harshly spat, dropping his head backwards a little.

''Well somebody has to save everyone, which means somebody has got to be the bait.'' Scott lost his temper as Liam clenched his jaw a little before he turned back to the dark haired girl, swallowing and speaking at a more calmer rate.

''Just promise me you can do everything you can to save her.'' His words made the worst feeling run over me, sharply I turned my attention away as a tear slipped down my face, slipping away to behind a set of lockers as I held my hand over my mouth, muffling my cries away as I held my breath attempting to hold back the sobs.

''Hey.'' A soft voice spoke as I turned up to see Lydia. ''It's alright.'' She gently spoke, coming and sitting down next to me, wrapping her arm over me as the strawberry-blonde comforted me.

''I'm sorry... I know it sucks.'' Lydia whispered as I hid my cries so nobody else would hear them. Sniffing gently I wiped the falen mascara from under my eyes. ''I'm fine.'' I was quick to speak as I felt her gaze burning a hole into the side of my face. ''Jenna-''

''where's Scott?'' I suddenly changed the subject, sniffing and looking around the area. ''Getting some meds for Hay- I'll go look for him.'' She cut off her words, rubbing my arm as I nodded pulling myself together and sitting up straighter. ''Sure you'll be okay?''

''I'll be fine.'' I assured before she flashed me a small smile, heading off to find Scott somewhere in the school.

A few minutes passed and neither Scott or Lydia were back. I was basically stuck in a room with Liam and Hayden who were probably cuddling or something stupid from the other side of the lockers. Breathing out I decided that I could no longer stay in this room, anticipating the moment either 1. Scott and Lydia came back,

2. A dread doctor waltzed in,

or 3. Liam or Hayden tried to speak to me.

Heading over towards the exit I felt two pairs of eyes on me,

''where are you going?''

I ignored the question before approaching the hallway a sudden weird darkness looming over. When I turned back around there was no door, nothing but an empty dark void. Gasping, I attempted to run forwards but that only led to more darkness. ''Hel-'' before I could get my word out there was a sharp sensation puncturing my back as my breath hitched, falling to my knee's as I looked down to see a blood-stained sword sticking out of me.

Letting out a broken breath of air I choked up black liquid, it began to stain the ground, my jeans and the pale skin of my bloody hands. It was like I couldn't stop choking up the dark substance, more and more just kept coming out of me, choking me alive as I spluttered desperatly trying to get some air which seemed to be non-existant.

What's happening to me??

There was a sudden burning sensation that hit my skin as I squeezed my eyes shut, gasping for air which thankfully refilled my lungs again. ''Jenna!'' A voice called out.

''Jenna!'' The voice spoke again, more clearer this time as I snapped open my eyes to meet the dark brown ones of Mason. Glancing down to my stomach I realised there was nothing there. Scott also crouched next to me, holding onto my arm. ''What- what happened?'' 

''You were hallucinating. You're okay now.'' Scott reassured rubbing my clothed arm as I nodded. ''Where's Lydia?'' I pushed myself up again. ''She must have gone back to see Liam and Hayden.'' Mason spoke as Scott went wide eyed.

''Liam and Mason.'' The alpha repeated before pulling me up onto my feet. ''Hurry.'' He told us both as we followed behind him, back towards the locker room. I was still shaken up from freakin hallucinating- what else could go wrong???

Guys I'm so so sorry for not updating for basically two months, I've had mock exams and I've been revising for my real exams which start in less than two months so I'm super busy revising, updates will probably be slow but I'm not gonna leave you guys hanging, sorry again.
