Emma was driving towards her house when suddenly a shadowy figure jumped in the middle of the road. She thought it was an animal and pressed the honk of the car, hoping it would run away. Time seemed to slow down as her eyes made out the figure of a person and she kicked the brakes with force, but she was going way too fast to stop and the crash happened.

The car shook with the impact of the crash and Emma yelled as the vehicle made three spins with a long screech before the tires came to a stop. The impact had thrown her forwards with the seat belt painfully stopping her in place, the faulty airbags not functioning in time to give her the extra padding of support.

Emma was able to hear the blood flow in her ears with the silence that followed after the crash. Adrenaline was pumping in her veins, and she was heaving like she had just run a mile. After a few minutes, she finally could see again and processed what had just happened.

"Oh god, I just hit a person."

Her eyes opened wide with realization and shock, there was no way someone would get out of that collision alive. She thought about calling 911, but she had to make sure. She got out of her car and scurried towards the person laying down in the middle of the road, unmoving.

Her knees scraped against the asphalt as she kneeled down on the ground and reached for the person's neck. She had no pulse and her fingers burned like she had just touched ice. She tried to get back and landed on her butt with panic, there was a ringing noise in her ears that just didn't stop.

It was a woman that looked in her late 20's, but there was no way of telling for sure. After a while she noticed the blood covering the girl's body. She was naked, but the thick layer of blood made it look like she wasn't. There was way too much blood, and dried, old blood. There was no way a car crash would cause an injury this size. Then she saw it, the girl's lips moving, it was only a twitch but the faint sound from her throat made Emma aware that the girl was still alive. Maybe I just couldn't feel her pulse, she thought.

The nearest hospital was almost an hour away and even if she called an ambulance, it would take a long while to arrive, while her home was only a five-minute drive from that part of the road. The girl was as cold as marble, and she decided to take her home and at least give her some warmth until the ambulance arrived.

She wasn't exactly a fit person, so it took Emma a lot of effort to carry the girl to her car. She never thought such a slender body could hold so much weight. Once she dragged the girl in the backseat and laid her down carefully, she closed the door and got in the driver's seat. All during the way she made sure to slow down through the bumpy areas, and checked the back seat every once in a while to make sure the girl hadn't fallen down from the seat. She couldn't afford to speed, so the ride took longer than she would have fancied. The car came to a stop in front of a little villa with two floors made of dark oak wood. She got out of the driver's seat and took off her heels. If she was going to carry the girl to her home, she couldn't do it on a gravel road with stilettos.

Emma had made sure to park the car as close to the entrance as possible and held the girl from her shoulders to drag her home. She didn't even bother with locking her car as struggled with her keys to open the door, her feet cut and aching from walking on gravel barefoot.

When she finally placed the girl on the big, beige colored sofa in her living room she exhaled with exhaustion. She went to open the lights and quickly walked back to the girl to inspect her injuries. She hadn't noticed because of the dark night outside, but her eyes opened wide in surprise when she noticed the beautiful features of the girl. She had velvet red locks that fell around her face and created a contrast with her porcelain white skin. Porcelain white...
