I sit and watch
Empty wastelands drift
Beyond my vision
A barren world
Since age immemorial
My kin have struggled
With painful burdened souls
And withered arms
Time pushes forward
Before I'm really here
I can never stay
Never be still
I've drunk from stagnant lakes
Eaten rotten meat
From putrid carcasses
All in vain
Through this journey long
The solemn requiem
A voice clear in the dark
I carry on
I stumble onward now
Make sense of all I see
This tangled web becomes
A tapestry
This withered, futile life
Was all in aid of death
Consuming from my cage
I set them free
