I head to my dad's room as it goes chase mice or something. A woody scent fills my lungs as I enter the majestic room. The design screamed posh and elegance which I bet was mostly the Ice Queen's idea.
I head to the walk in closet looking at the marvelous dresses Ms Penelope has. Even though her lifted cheeks look unnatural, she sure does know how to dress.
"Mum, Ruby can never dare enter your room"
I hear footsteps approaching and I freeze. "She's locked away in her dungeon and I put her in her place today"
Jumping in one of the closet I hide behind the clothes. Julia immediately enters holding her phone to her ear. "So when are you two coming back? I can't live alone with that rat in my nose"
She walks deeper in the closet and turns to face my direction. My breath catches as she starts going through the clothes next to me. "She can never find the vault... WHAT! .. I can never steal from him like you do"
I turn switches and clogs in my head, drowning in the words she just said. I say my last prayers when she almost holds the coat next to me. This is it folks. This is the time I finalize my last moments on this earth.
Missy comes to my aid when she miraculously lets out a screech, saving me from a dreadful dance with death. I thank the heavens numerously, grateful for not running over that cat.
"What's wrong baby? Is everything alright?" She walks towards the sound releasing me from her path.
"Shush shush it was just a big lizard. I'm taking you to the spa honey. Right now."
Walking back in the closet, the cat is held against her like a clutch, she grabs her phone as I smile to my now favorite cat.
The fragrance in the space was great but if i stay in here any longer the ice queen's scent might stick on me. I hear a crowd outside and take it as my cue to leave. Julia made the whole house silent and I cringed at how she treats the help.
Grabbing a polo shirt, leather jacket and trousers, I carry them to the attic, hoping Keilan doesn't mind them.
Humming, I gladly enter an empty room. He was nowhere to be sought or seen.
I pinch my arms to remind myself that I was not dreaming. How can it be just an imagination though? I throw the clothes on the couch as I hear a laugh. Smiling, I confirm it wasn't all a dream.
Bella and Keilan come out of the bathroom and I feel my heart sink, removing any smile present on my face. She was holding a first aid kit, both laughing from their conversation.
"The clothes are on the couch" I state briefly walking towards my bed.
They both look at me and her face brightens even more.
"Hey Ruby I came to finish up on his wounds and to give him pain killers"
Grabbing my phone and car keys, I take a hoodie from the closet. My insecurities hit home as I start to compare myself to the beauty queen.
"Its okay. Thank you for helping out Bella"
Flashing a smile at her, I leave the room, not wanting to see the perfect couple that stood in my bedroom. They both looked like they were meant for each other. I bet they would have really good looking kids, raise a picture perfect family. My absence should make them more comfortable around each other.
It was a quarter to 8 and I'm pretty sure Janet and the squad were still at the diner. Driving out of the house I tighten my grip on the wheel, imagining Keilan tongues deep with amazon Bambi girl.

The diner was dark with red lantern lamps for lighting. It was now freestyle poetry and Louis was on stage.
Everyone turned when the bell chimed as I entered, earning a furious glance from Janet. The audience turned their focus back to Louis as I sat next to my best friend.
"Hey. You okay?" she whispers and I nod.
"...Her eyes glistened in the light as my mind and heart put up a fight..."
He was great with words and I can only imagine who he's referring to. Lindsey turns to me as the audience applauds at the marvelous poem.
"You have two minutes"
The diner's bell chimes and Julia walks in with Kyle. A girl with green glasses takes on the stage to present her piece. I seriously thought she went to treat her cat and knowing how she can get I bet she took it to the vet.
Shaking my head I imagine how the animal was in deep surprise when they did not arrive at the spa. The couple sat at a table on the far side of the room, right across our table.
"Do you think she knows?" I ask as Lindsey shakes her head. "She's just suspecting. I mean she never comes to this diner"
I nod to her reply as Julia shoots us an angry glare as Kyle looks through the menu.
"She definitely knows" Lindsey speaks with an evil smile on her face.
