Madeline ~ Sweet

"Madeline!" My mother's soft voice bounced up the stairs, down the hall, and into my room.
"Yes?" I shouted, trying to get my voice through the floral wallpapered walls of my room. I flung the door open and leaned across the staircase. "What do you need?"
"Your friend called! Someone named Victoria?"
"Victoria?" I questioned, rushing down the stairs. She was popular and had so many boyfriends at once. I didn't think that was right, but she seemed like a nice girl. Brushing my blonde bangs from my crystal eyes, I pick up the phone.
"I have a cell, you know."
"Well I don't have it. Want to come over?"
"Well sure! Anyone else there?" I happily replied.
"You think some guys here? Come on, Mad, I'm not that much of an influence, we are pretty much opposites."
"Oh, no! You can call me Madeline, though."
"Alright, Mad, come over at 5:00?"
"Victoria, you can call me Madeline."
"Sure, Madeline. See you soon."
"See ya." The black phone attached itself to it's holder.
"Mom! I'm going over to Victoria's!"
"Okay!" She mumbled back, through her bedroom door.
Pulling out my new convertible, I turned up the volume on the radio.
Several buzzes filled my phone with texts with my boyfriend, Jake. All I could make out, while driving, was something about his football team, the Hawks. It couldn't tell what it was about because I was driving, but it didn't seem important.

Soon, I pulled up at Victoria's place. She lived in a nice apartment complex with her dad and his girlfriend. After completing a few rounds of staircases, I knocked on the iron door. A figure appeared.
"Victoria! Hey!" The figure, that I was pretty sure was Victoria, stood silent.
"Um, Victoria?" Again, nothing. "Hello?"
The next movement came as a surprise to me. Trust me, that was, in no way, Victoria.
