(2 hours later)
We arrived back at the hospital and I was preparing Finn for surgery.
"Are you excited?" I asked him.
"I'm more nervous than excited." He said.
"Don't be this is a great a day a brand new beginning for you." I said.
"And what if something goes wrong?" He asked me.
"Hey don't talk like that Finn, it's all going to be okay." I said.
"And what if it's not." He said.
I looked at him and just before I could say a word Dr. Yang walked in,
"Okay Finn it's time to go. Dr.Berry you will not be joining me today." She told me .
"What?" I said confused .
"Dr.Fabray will be assisting me instead. Let's go ." She said and they took Finn.
I started to follow them when Dr.Webber stopped me.
"Berry you can't go in there ." He said .
"What why not he's my patient." I said outraged.
"Yang told me." He said.
"Listen chief I know I broke protocol but I care about him and it not t like I did anything bad . " I said.
"Doesn't matter Berry, you know better than to hook up with a patient . I'm sorry but you're suspended for two weeks starting now." He said.
"Chief please , I love him just give me a moment to talk to him and watch the surgery and I'll leave ." I said.
"Fine, you have an hour and then you have to go." He said and I left.
I ran into the O.R and went to Finn.
"Dr.Berry," but before Yang could say anything I said,
"Oh hush."
"Hey goody." Finn said.
"Hey you." I said.
"Is everything okay?" He asked me.
"Yeah , you just focus on that new heart because after we're going to live happily ever after okay?" I said.
"Okay." He said.
I kissed his head and said,
"I love you Finn." And then they put him under.
I looked at Yang and said,
"Make sure he lives ." I said and left.
