You shined the brightest
In the darkest of my memories.
You are the reason I don't regret
Any of the miseries.
I remember when you
Showed up in a clown suit
Because I was down
Just your presence is enough
To erase every trace of my frown.
I wanted to do the same for you
But I guess we ran out of time.
You traveled to the stars
Leaving me alone with the scars.
Every street we walked on
And the flickering lamppost
Under which we held hands
In every trip I take down the memory lane
You shined the brightest.
