Preface
Anemones are beautiful, but deadly, creatures of the sea. They resemble flowers, but rather than having lush petals, they have slick tentacles. Dangerous tentacles, but when it comes right down to it, aren’t all tentacles dangerous?
When I was three years old, I saw an anemone in a tide pool, and decided to reach out and touch it. I was stung, and wound up going to the hospital. I don’t remember the sting much other than the fact that it hurt terribly.
I had wanted to touch something beautiful. Twelve years later, I would want to touch something beautiful again, as well as feel that sting… and never forget it.
